Trying to get some stuff together for the Baby Daze sale. Not sure how to price the stuff.

Ex. Girls LL Bean coat in very good condition. Paid about $60 for it. Is $5 a good price?

Nice Christmas dresses. Paid $45-$60 for them. Worn a few times. $5?

Jeans in near perfect condition? $1?

Hanna Anderson sweaters. Paid $30 for them. $3?

I want the stuff to sell, but would like to get the average cost. Do you let the stuff be discounted or hold your price? Please give feedback if you have ever done this.

Blue Herron can probably help.

I mark mine for approx 1/3rd of the price I paid but I haven't had clothes as expensive as yours. I think you could price your items a little higher. I let it be discounted but if you are doing the one at Atascocita this month, strawbridge is having one next month (I think) so you could hold your price and try to sell again at Strawbridge if it's not inconvenient to go pick up your unsold items.

Strawbridge's is Sept 20th. Remember you only get 60% of sale price, so keep that in mind when you price your items. (But the 40% that the church keeps is tax deductible.)

Thank you for your input. I didn't know about the one in KW so I will pick up what doesn't sell and try again.

I consign at Just Between Friends Kingwood. It is a multi-day event so I have better chance of my items selling. If I help for 4 hours I earn 70% on my items otherwise I think it is 60%. Their website has a pricing guidelines page that helps. They do inspect your clothing for stains, tears, missing buttons, etc.
