I have a profound respect for police officers, but when you as a police officer decide to harass someone for no apparent reason, I take issue.
If you don't know, there is a "carshow" every Saturday night in the 24 hour fitness parking lot on 1960. It's been going on for years and for all those years, we've never had any major issues with participants, law enforcement or from businesses. Lately, a younger crowd has starting showing up and last night one of them decided to drive through the parking lot with someone sitting on the hood of their car. It's something that some of us have done, but this individual didn't check to see that a police officer was sitting at the stoplight. The officer stopped the vehicle and I would think a ticket for driving while stupid was issued.
Incident done!
About 10 minutes later, 3 Harris county sheriff's deputies vehicles pulled into the parking lot. Most of the participants had left so there were only about 5 or 6 vehicles still there.
One officer came up to the group and immediately asked if we knew this was private property and that we couldn't " hang out" here. One of the older gentleman informed the officer that we had permission and that they actually leave the parking lot lights on for us.
This officer then informed us that we could be suspects in some car burglaries in the area because we looked "suspicious" just hanging out in the parking lot.
I opened by big mouth at this point, and invited him to next Saturday's show.
I also asked if he knew anything about the street racing that happens down the feeder from N. Park to KW drive.... He then asked if I knew that was illegal............
I decided the conversation was over, loaded up my chair and left......

Let it go.... not worth the spit in your mouth! Life is short and one must make the most of each and every day. Get a letter of permission to show should this ever happen again. DONT LET THEM GET YOU DOWN MAN!!! Enjoy! 

The media tells us cops only harass black men. Y'all should riot and burn your own house down. 

Calling that "harrassment" seems like a stretch. Sounds like he was doing his job and was not aware there was permission to be there as well as making sure there was awareness of a problem in the area.

Obviously I misunderstood what you were saying. Almost all equally enforce the law. If you can't accept that, it's your issue
