CNN)Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud has died, according to an announcement on Saudi state TV. He was 90.

The next king will be Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, state television reported early Friday.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Its Bush's fault.

Red Heifer --- 10 years ago -

mmm, Salmon.

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

Any word on what to expect from the new one?

them --- 10 years ago -

More dickery.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

I'll be happy if he isn't radical Muslim. Just keep it in the royal family.

them --- 10 years ago -

Rumor has it Putin had something to do with his death.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

That's never good-

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

The guy was 90 though. Seems like Putin getting involved is inconsequential at that point. Wait 5 minutes. . .it's bound to happen on its own.

them --- 10 years ago -

The Saudis have destroyed the Russian economy. No doubt it's a rumor but Putin has killed for much less.

napoleon --- 10 years ago -

I read that oil prices surged after his death was announced.

Work in Progress --- 10 years ago -

The plot thickens. . .

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

Isn't he the dude who was deeply entrenched in bed with the Bush family? You know, the one GW rescued as a top priority after 9/11.

Prolix Raconteur --- 10 years ago -

He's been in bed with every past president during his lifetime due to our dependency on their oil. Both Clintons tweeted their deep sorrow at the news of his passing, as did the British Royalty.

All of them conveniently overlooked the beheadings, lashes, hangings, oppression of women etc in the name of Sharia compliance as long as the oil kept flowing.

Joe Blow --- 10 years ago -

I get it but saying your sorry about his passing is a far cry from getting him safely out of the country after 3000 of our citizens were murdered.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Time has shown that we were better off with the dictators than the radicals- beheadings and hanging, plus shootings are much more prevalent under radical Muslim leadership-

Prolix Raconteur --- 10 years ago -

True. Sadam, Qadaffi etc kept a tight lid on the insurgents along with everybody else within their borders. Kill the cat and the rats run wild.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Precisely-

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Yes tat and prolix! Which is sick to say, but so true!

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Meant to say it makes me sick to say...

satsuma --- 10 years ago -

Kill the cat and the rats run wild.?

Yep.
Cats really know where it's at.
That's why everyone wants to be one.

;)

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Hah!

roustabout --- 10 years ago -

I do wonder what this change in power will do for the price of oil. Several more people were laid off this Friday - it would be great for the Saudis to back off.
