I have a grandchild who will be almost 4 this Fall and needs to start associating with other children. I would sure appreciate opinions on area preschools. He is somewhat shy and I think a preschool would really benefit him.

We go to kids n action and love it! My son used to moan and groan about going to "school", but now comes home singing and telling me all he discovered that day. They use the same prek curriculum humble ISD uses so the transition would be great. My friend's a kinder teacher in Humble and is really impressed with what he knows. They offer pre school and extended day. Pre school is 8-2 mon- thurs and extended day is 6:30-6 m-f. They get kindermusick, kids in action class and a new starting is lego class ( connecting engineering to Legos!). And for extra cost they have kids night out. My little girl goes too and loves her teacher, moved up to a new class and her old teacher still loves on her and even lets her have naps in her room for easy transitioning, which I truly appreciate every morning since we run late haha! Hope my novel helps! Haha, I know how hard it is to find something!

Thanks so much for the input. The program you described sounds wonderful. Will definitely check into it.

Check with the school district.... they're changing programs next year for Pre-K.

Strawbridge methodist - bright beginnings learning center is amazing. The classes are small 10-12 kids with two teachers. They do chapel every morning, recess, gym bugs, and science (once a week).
It was an amazing transition from BBLC to kinder. And now my 4 year old is in the program.
What I love the most is it's Tues, Wed, Thurs. Only. Unlike some are mon, wed, fri or tues/thurs.

My 5th grandchild is enjoying her pre school days at Good Shepherd in Kingwood. All 5 children have attended the school and have been well prepared for public school!! Highly recommended
