Just busted a white man, T-Shirt, blue jeans, short hair stealing rocking chairs off our front porch. In the pouring rain, no less. Chased him down the street, as he picked up speed the 2 chairs fell out the back of his truck. He looked to have other stuff in the back. Happened on Green Oak in Kingwood Place about 3/4 mile south of Kingwood Drive.

Amazing what some people will do.

You mention that it's a dark green pick-up truck, but did you happen to notice what the make, model and approximate age of the truck?

I have absolutely zero tolerance for a thief and I hope someone spots it and writes down the tag number(s) and gets back to you.

UpFrontKW --- 3 years ago -

[i]did you happen to notice what the make, model and approximate age of the truck?

It was a late model full size pick up, like a Nissan Titan or Toyota Tundra. He looked to be about mid - late 30's.

Oh, good God! How disgustingly bold! I hope you reported this?

UpFrontKW --- 3 years ago -

I hope you reported this??
Well, I called KPD, spoke to an officer, explained what happened, and he put me through to dispatch, which sent me to an automated system to file my report on-line. I didn't need cops to come out nor cared about the cost of the chairs. I was concerned about the audacity of a thief to walk onto someone's front porch and steal in broad daylight. He had other stuff in the back of his pickup so we likely were not his first victim today. Our chairs were on top of that other stuff, which raised them above his tailgate. When I started chasing him on foot, he sped up and they fell out of his truck. They both broke but at least he didn't get them, the a**hole. We likely were not his first victim but wanted him caught so there wouldn't be any victims after us.

What's KPD??

Wow.

Identity Crisis --- 3 years ago -

I dark green Dodge Ram single cab hit and ran my avalone. We finally found him and turned him in with plate numbers. It was at Kings crossing apartments when I was visiting a friend. Maybe it's the same guy, sounds like him, white, 30s, criminal mindset.

What's KPD??

Kingwood Police Dept.

I dark green Dodge Ram single cab hit and ran my avalone. We finally found him and turned him in with plate numbers.

This green truck had a paper tag covered in plastic - I couldn't read it as it was flapping in the wind and rain.

Identity Crisis --- 3 years ago -

The guy that hit me changed his tags. I wrote down the first ones and reported them. They didn't belong to any vehicle. I found him again with different tags and registration stickers, those were valid. Of course he would cover his plates, he knows that is how he got busted.
CAUGHT THE LOSER!

Summer --- 3 years ago -

He didn't happen to have my bike in the back of that truck did he? It was stolen last night....same problem with kpd.

Its Mygirl01 --- 3 years ago -

I'm guessing you mean HPD because there is no such thing as the Kingwood police department :)

Summer --- 3 years ago -

Right, it is HPD. Some of us call the Kingwood office "KPD" or "KHPD", just to make it clear which office we are talking about.
