Can anyone recommend a good divorce attorney? I don't want someone who gives me a sales pitch, like when you buy a car. I am looking for a no non-since attorney that will give me good advice, options, and then help me get this resolved. They are not going to get rich off of me, but I do have an idea about how much it will cost. Therefore, I want to make sure I get what I am paying for.

Kingwood Attorney

Pixtor --- 7 years ago -

This happened to me in 96', the week before Christmas, after 23 years of marriage.

Sorry you're going through it.

Brian McNamara He is reasonable and smart and detail oriented.

Just be prepared that most attorneys won't file with the court until their fee has been paid. It took me almost a year to pay off the first one but I was prepared for the second one and got it done in 3 months.
Good luck.

Look for someone who is well known in court, especially if there are children involved. Look online to identify judges, then see who contributes to their campaigns (I am quite jaded). If there is adultery involved, you can get 60% if you can prove it. If it is an amicable divorce, look for a collaborative lawyer who will save you thousands.
Good luck!

Check your benefits at work. My company had (Arag) when I got divorced and my total out of pocket was $275. A lot of companies still carry this today.
