Has anyone used solar panels for Christmas decor' and lights? If you have, has it worked pretty well or should I just stick to the thought of a generator? Just trying to buy things up for Christmas way early this year so we are prepared when the time comes. We moved to a much smaller home and this past Christmas every time we turned our lights and lawn décor on it would trip our breaker box. The only way we could run the Christmas lights was to keep the lights inside the house off. I refuse to go through this again this year. If you have any ideas please send them my way. Thanks in advance

If your lights are tripping a circuit breaker, you must have around 2000W of lights. You would need a ton of solar panels, and expensive batteries and equipment to supply that for any period of time.

It would be easier to add dedicated circuits to your breaker box, and split up the load of the lights.

Or switch all your lights to LEDs, which use a fraction of the power at the same lux

At 10x the cost

The problem you are having is related to the wiring/breakers in your house You need an electrician to fix this. Solar / batteries would not help.

Agreed, you need to have that checked out ,generator is loud and use more gas and money,it could be easy fix (adding circuit).just use a qualified journey man electrian,if you don't know them don't be afraid to ask to see their license.
