I am a patient of Dr. Sunkureddi, and I had the DNA test to determine how my medications were working. I was told that I would not be charged anything. If my insurance didn't pay, it was fine. However, I am receiving bills, and now Dr. Sunkureddi's office is saying we have to work it out with molecular testing. Has anyone else had this problem?
Never heard of this. I hope you are able to straighten things out with your doctor. I find oftern doctors promise things without knowing insurance restricts and recently FDA restricts. They leave that with the staff to know and figure out. I would run things by the staff before getting things "for free" next time. They would know i you qualify and all the ropes attached.
Oy, always get that kind of stuff approved beforehand, or it could cause issues later. Even so, the full panel testing is only around 479.00. Call the company directly and work out something. Most will work with you. I just had mine done as well, but my doctor knows how to properly fill out the paperwork to notify the insure that the testing is medically needed. Found out some good info from the testing, and also received a wallet card with info for medical care during an emergency.
