Hello! I am rushing this fall at the end of summer for a sorority, and I am looking for letters or recommendation in order to be eligible for recruitment. Does anybody know anyone that is an alumnae or an active member of any of the following sororities: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Zeta, Delta Delta Delta, Chi Omega, or Zeta Tau Alpha? If so, I was hoping to talk to them and tell them a bit about myself, and hopefully get a rec letter. If so, thank you! 

You want a rec letter from a total stranger? What about people you actually know? 

I have tried getting one from someone that I know, but I do not know anybody in a sorority, much less these five since I go to a small school and there is not a large selection of sororities. As stated in the original post, if anybody was in one of the sororities I was hoping to talk to them in person or over the phone about myself so that they wouldn't be writing it about someone they knew nothing about. As nobody in my family has ever been in a sorority, finding an alumnae is the only option I have at this point in time. 

That's terrible that you can't get in without a rec letter and it has to be from an alum? Not everyone knows someone in a sorority.

Kingwood has a very active panhellenic association where they offer an open house to high school seniors and walk them through the recruiting process. It's very detailed and they are extremely thorough. Contact someone from that group. I'm sure they'll do all they can to help. Good luck!
