Watching CH13 and the local flood control spokesman, I am pretty sure that Houston has no clue as to how to mitigate flood damage in the city.

Their approach, based upon a strategy of preventing damage to Houston proper, is to release flood waters from Barker and Addicks and just "let 'er rip".

They do not have a strategy - and are very scary with their recommendations for a voluntary evacuation.

Don't the citizens of Texas deserve better planning, control, and execution of flood control???

You really think you know better than the engineers? Please.

Looks like they are going for it from at the getgo!

"Lake Conroe is now releasing 22,175 cubic feet per second down the San Jacinto River. This equals the highest release rate during the May 2016 flooding"

Monitor the water release from Lake Conroe with this link
