I grew up during the Vietnam War. It was hard to escape what was happening. I was on the verge of being drafted when the war ended. All males in my family served and a Texas VFW hall was named after one of my cousins. He was a Green Beret killed on a swift boat.
It's amazing how little high school students know about our wars. So, I decided to begin my classes with a history/photojournalism lesson.
It's generated a lot of interest on a couple of blog sites. Hope you enjoy it. Most of the photos you will see are Pulitzer Prize Winners.
