But that's about it ... not a single thing on it other than the pre-lit lights that came with it. It may just stay like that until the mood hits me ... if it ever does.
Ho Ho Hummmm ...

LOL My tree stayed up naked once until the Dec 20. No one decorates but me. And it's getting to be a lot of work, especially after cooking for Thanksgiving.

I am having trouble getting into the mood, too, this year. I really wanted Christmas to come. KW needs some Christmas Spirit. I guess I need some too?

Got ours up today as well!

Maybe if it would stop being 80 degrees I could feel Christmasy?

I?m putting away Halloween decorations, does that count??!

The bare tree with only the lights, is beginning to grow on me! Might be a new tradition ...

The more you drag out and decorate, the more you have to un-decorate and pack back up.

We just need more cold weather!!! It's hard to get motivated when it feels like summer!

It's hard to get motivated when it feels like summer!

Maybe that's my problem ... other than old age. LOL

I LOVE a white flocked tree, Gigi, bc of just that. They are beautiful with just lights!

They are beautiful with just lights!

So true! Good idea for next year. I have some artificial Magnolia blooms to put in and that might just to the trick.

My dd has a flocked tree she decorates as a snow man that doesn't take much other than a hat, 3 lrg black bulbs and a red tie around the top. Easy/peasy!

There are lots of people on their A game this year. Lots of Christmas lights up and yards decorated already. Even on just my street, way more than last year. Maybe it's the nice weather.

We have some star and snowflake projectors up. We are hanging some icicle lights today.. Will have to get a nativity scene next year, since they are so expensive :( .. I will just wrap our wooden cross with white lights :)

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

Okay ... I'm making progress. I have the tree "topper" on and 1 very special ornament!

Got a porch tree set out but the dang skeeters nearly chewed me up ... so much for anything outside!
Slowly but surely, I might get this done before Christmas!

I am having trouble getting into the mood, too, this year.

My preference is to just go and completely hide until January.

Society tends to be driven by the buck, which ruins Christmas. I love it but not the crazy shopping and over spending, the pressure and rush and buying just to be buying. It's nuts.

But I love a beautiful Christmas tree and seeing all the pretty houses at night. Love a good prime rib dinner with my family and friends. And I think about
Jesus and the gift of being able to connect with the Creator, the real reason for the season. And fudge, that's real too. :)
