are are ferocious ! 25 mph

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

No kidding, it's really howling out there ...

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

I knew it would happen and sure enough, we lost power for about 15 minutes - surprised it wasn't longer.

Thankfully, the Generac did it's "thing" - within 30 seconds. If these winds keep up like this for the next several days, transformers are going to blow.

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

I haven't thought about losing power.

I hope it doesn't happen in my neighborhood because I've already winterized my generator.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

Gigi, the winds are supposed to die down as soon as the front comes in tonight-

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

I heard a really loud explosive sound a little earlier, like a boom. But no power loss. But when it's windy, it's always possible here in the hood.

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

There were thousands without power last night including in KW. If you had power, you were one of the lucky ones. But it didn't stay off for too long.

Go outside in this windchill for like, 5 mins and you freeze your face off!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

I lost power last night for about 5 minutes- that's it- the wind was really blowing, though!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

My face is cold inside the house!! Lol

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

I hate winter. Even with the sun out.

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

I am so NOT into this weather!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 7 years ago -

My heater actually came on last night, and I keep it set on 63!

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

63 is igloo temps!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 7 years ago -

Yes it is but she's gotta be part Eskimo!!!

I don't miss Nebraska weather, thanks for the reminder God! Lol.

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

63 is igloo temps!

That's what I'm thinking. I would be in the hospital with pneumonia if I set my thermostat at 63 deg. I have mine at 70 and still have cold toes - and that is with 2 pair of socks on.

Winter clothes are so constricting! So many layers! Socks AND shoes/boots. I miss my flip flops, shorts and tank tops. Easy Peasy life!
