I had their Chocolate Mousse Cake as my appetizer once. :) To die for! 

we have been there for meetings and they always take great care of us. Of course we only get the finger food and its all fried.. so anything fried is good. lol 

yeah, my husband and I went last night...I wasn't impressed with their steak at all, I was bummed, actually...lol. But, their bread, house salad and fried appetizers were AWESOME!!!

I would never go back for steak though...

Our waitress was really nice too, that's a huge plus if we ever go back for a burger or something. :)

i have no idea how that places stays in business. it has always been horrible the past 10-15 years... 

We've been once when they first opened....can't remember what it was like, guess I wasn't impressed...lol 

I agree that the steaks are not all that but their chicken fried steaks are awesome. 

What's weird is that their name touts steaks; however, all of the comments indicate EVERYTHING great but steaks... 

How's the Sauerbraten and Wiener Schnitzel? 

We went there a couple of times years ago and the food was just okay. I think we had a coupon and tried it. I love Carrabba's steak so I am now only eating it there or at home. 

I went two weeks ago because my teen son LOVES it. I wouldnt say I LOVED it but the appetizers were half price and we took advantage of that deal! The fried green tomatos and fried zucchini were VERY good and I would say they were even better than Potato Patch. The rolls were yummy too. We shared a grilled chicken mushroom dinner and had plenty to take home. IMO the prices were very reasonable and the portions were large.

We went last night and everyone in my group (4 adults, 2 kids) enjoyed their food! We've been once or twice before. 

I have to agree with those who said that everything is good except the steaks. We prefer Texas Roadhouse.

We used to go some, mainly for lunch when my DH worked near there. We were always satisfied then. We didn't ever have steak, except once a few years ago when we went to dinner with my daughter and her ex. It's so long ago that I forget how it was. 

In the 16 years I've lived in the area, I have never tried it, never had the urge. The outside appearance screams mediocre food. (Yet I love Bills, oh well.) 

It you want a good steak go to BILLS on 494 

We go to Hoffbrau about once every other month. I usually get the 8 ounce sirloin and order it medium, rather than my preferred medium-well, because when I asked for that it always came out well-done and dry. With Worcestershire sauce it's pretty good. Nowhere near as good as Saltgrass or Texas Roadhouse, but not as expensive, either. 

We went one time because the billboard made it look like a nice place. Then we showed up and ate at picnic tables. We were disappointed in the atmosphere alone.

Then we had the steak. . .the above comments were right. 

Went once. And that's all I have to say about that. 

for some reason my DD likes the place but IMO it's way overpriced for the quality. But the people are always really nice. 

Last time I went the waitress made our dinner salads with her bare hands after she came back from a smoke break.. Didnt eat the salad, walked out, never going back. disgusting 

I love their fish tacos, but that's about it... oh and their rolls. I have always had good service. Have tried their steaks. The first time I really liked the steak. It was cooked perfectly, tasted great and so ordered it the next visit... Totally unimpressed (disgusting actually). Gave them one more try on steaks with the same outcome so no more steaks from there for me... just fish tacos (if I go again) 

Last time I went there I had to fill out a piece of paper to drink a beer. Yea it has been that long. 

I think their steaks are not cooked right. Its like if i took a t-bone and cooked in a frying pan, not on a grill. If they would grill stuff they would be alot better JMO 

DH and I enjoy eating there on occasion. Normally we do not get the steak though :( Their shrimp and catfish is good, they also have a some good chicken meals (we eat a lot of chicken). Their salad, rolls, etc., are also good. Good service.
