Haven't seen on my news feeds yet so I'm not believing it until I see it. :p 

They are being bought by an Indian corporation in Mombai. 

They will still be Exxon, but not On The Run anymore. They will be a different franchise chain now, if I understand things correctly.

I called the location at 59 and Northpark and asked if they would be open later and the lady said she didn't know if they were going to reopen at all...odd!!!

Called the one in Porter off 1314 & 59. They are closed too and said they are in transition because they were sold and all stations should be reopen later today. 

They were bought out. Thats why all the stores were getting empty. They quit ordering inventory to prep for the take over. 

looks like they are all turning in to Circle K. 

Just called the one on Kingwood and LH and I was told they were sold to a company called Time Miles. They'll still sell Exxon gas but will be Time Miles on the Run instead of Exxon. They'll hopefully be open by the end of day today.

shell is taking a lot of them over.. any you see closed will soon be shell's.. ( friends SIl is a gm at shell and we asked her yesterday) 

I called around too...apparently the gas will still be Exxon's, but the stores will be owned by other companies.

Shell sold to Timewise.
XOM wants to dump the retail and all the people on someone else. Less hassel with people,job benifits,security,theft, on and on... 

WLH and KW dr is open. 

Jeese.....this explains what the Shell on KW drive has gas lines this morning!!!! It looked like the gas shortage of the 70's (my childhood days) lol
