I hope the families have been contacted before they showed that pic. One truck looks like DH and when I saw it on fb I freaked out! Thank god it was not him and he is fine. Prayers for the families of these 2 people.

Both trucks are white. they say the tundra had a man and a baby. the man died instantly and the baby life flighted. and the man in the dodge died instantly.

I work w/ 1/2 of Huffman and I'm trying to determine if I know the families. Thx 

I was sick to my stomach, because mu DS drives a Dodge and I couldn't get a hold of him. But my DIL said she seen him this morning after he got off at HFD and give him the kids and they are at cross fit. 

checkingitout, I have also been reading the Huffman talks FB page and no more info. I am sorry. I know how helpless you must feel.

I am sorry I haven't heard any updates as of yet. 

From the video it looks like the dodge Ram veered into the other lane. Unless those tire marks are old his front driver side tire could have blown causing the vehicle to move into the other lane. 

it's so terrible.. I always think someone's waiting for that person to pull up the driveway..their lives are about to be turned upside down..

Details:

On 9 August 2012 at approximately 0555 hrs Mr. Charles Strnadel IV, who was wearing his seat belt, was driving a White Toyota Tundra southbound on F.M. 2100. Mr. Strnadel's daughter Cadence was properly restrained in a child safety seat and was seated in the back seat of the vehicle. Mr. Shawn Emery was driving a White Dodge Ram 2500 pick up northbound in the 28000 FM 2100.  
 
Mr. Emery, who was not wearing his seatbelt, failed to drive in a single marked lane of traffic and traveled into the southbound lane of traffic that was occuppied by Strnadel. The front left of the Dodge struck the front left of the Toyota Tundra.  
 
Both Mr. Emery and Mr. Strnadel died from injuries they sustained in this crash.  
Cadence Strnadel was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center in stable condition.  
 
This crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Section of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. 

Horrible, horrible. Prayers for all who loved these people. 

Tattooed- you are exactly right, 2 years ago I waited for almost 3 hours for my husband to come home, he never did. It is the absolute worse feeling in the world. I finally went looking for him, he had the almost exact wreck as this one in almost the same stretch on 2100. 

Idiots shouldn't be allowed to drive big trucks. Put them in neons so when they hit others they are less likely to kill them. Sad for the family, the dad is dead and the child is hurt. I wonder what kind of driving record shawn emery had?

At 50 + mph, it does not matter what you are driving, kinetic energy will be enough for a neon to kill an occupant in a larger passenger vehicle 

This is a horrible accident. 2100 is rated one of the most dangeroues roads in Texas. 

My DS works for HFD and said the dodge was going at a high rate of speed

And that right there scares the crap out of me, as my DS and his family just built in Fairway Crossings about 3 yrs ago. And we have either heard about are seen so many really bad wrecks right in that area. 

How horrible for both families. It makes my heart hurt for them.
