We've lived in the same house in Greentree for almost 23 years. Our trash cans have been to the side of the garage. Today we received a letter than they must be moved out of public view. The only person who could possibly see them is our neighbor across the street. Anyone else get mail from the HOA today? They must have someone driving around just looking for infractions.

I got one today too!

Lots of Queens in GTV lol

Sheesh yeah they are bad here too. We had a trailer out for just a few hours one day for a birthday party to drop off tables and chairs and got a letter. They are crazy.

I live in trailwood and I get the trash can letters so I still leave them next to the garage and put in a huge shrub. Now they cannot see it so for now I am good.

Waste Management says that the sticker has to be visible to the trash crew - how do you put your trash cans out of view and leave the sticker in view of the collection folks?!? The HOA can worry about trash cans, but they can't get our crazy neighbor next door to take down the gun signs on either side of his front door and the electric/wooden fence, no trespassing, and security camera signs from the windows and fence facing the street. Good grief!

We got that letter too, we just took a photo of a hOa neighbor's trash can violating the letter we got. I haven't heard back since. Our HOA is a joke!

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

Several months ago we got a violation for trash cans out the night before.

The rules are absurd. I understand the thought is to promote integrity and preserve home values but no one wants to be brow beaten about trash cans.

There is room for common sense in the hoa and so far I haven't seen it.
