Oh I need this too. My knee is really acting up lately, need to see my pcp to get a referral to someone. 

Check the internet....Fondren in Kingwood....any doctor for preliminary exam.

1st treatment will probable be a shot in the knee followed by home therapy.

The Woodlands Sports center- Dr. Haimen ( I know right??). Not in KW I know- but he scoped both of dh's knees 5 weeks apart- 2 months ago and dh is doing amazing!! Dh was not fond of Fondren- he went there for both back and knees and got no results. 

Go to Houston. Kingwood Ortho is not great. When it comes to being able to walk without pain you want someone great. 

Thanks Jpgirl, I'm not a fan of Fondren either. I used a guy on 1960 for my broken wrist a few months ago, not sure if he does knees too but will check.

The pain just has gotten so bad I look like Lurch dragging my stiffened leg behind me.

Ouch on a shot in the knee, that doesn't sound pleasant at all. 

Not a big fan of Fondren other the Dr Muscat for knees. Other told me I needed a replacement went to Dr Muscat, a little arthroscopy and synovic injections and it has been no problem going on 5 years now. 

I've had two surgeries performed by Dr. Scobercea of the Fondren Clinic in KW. Very happy with my treatment, and Scobercia is really good with answering questions and is an all around nice guy to deal with. 

We like Dr scobercea too. 

Dr. Alan Criswell behind Kingwood Medical Center. He's been doing this for years. I'm not sure but if he still has offices downtown, Katy or SugarLand & I believe he teaches @ UT in the med. center.
He with a orthopedic group but I can't remember the name. Just Google him & you'll find him. 

Would not go to one in Kingwood. Go to Fondren downtown or KSF on Red Oak off 1960. Each have knee specialists. 

Perfection--I had a shot in the knee at Fondren (Dr. Muscat) and felt no pain at all from the shot. Like you, it sure didn't sound good but surprisingly it was very tolerable and not painful. It helped tremendously!!!
Took a couple of days to completely work but well worth it for sure. 

I wouldn't let Fondren orthopedic touch my dog! They did surgery on my DH's knee and it was worse afterwards than prior to surgery! You can search for Fondren on KU and see this pattern with lots of botched surgeries.

Dr. Gregory Harvey behind kingwood medical is amazing (he is a team doctor for the US olympic free style ski team) and he specializes in sports medicine and knees!

@ It's Mygirl01 Yes went into KMC as emergency & Dr. Harvey was on call but Dr. Criswell filled in. 

Don't go to Fondren! Got foot surgery there...they cut a nerve and left a non dissolvable suture in my foot.
