I'm needing to replace our dishwasher and would like to get opinions on reliable brands/ models and the best places to purchase. Thanks!!

Check out Goedeker's. No sales tax and free shipping on order over $999. I haave gotten appliances from them and lots of my friends have too. Warning - they are not fast at shipping because they order from the company then it is shipped to them and then to you. You get a call the day before and an 18 wheeler pulls up. Don't worry about any problems. One of my grills on my gas range was broken and they had the company overnight it to me. I actually got it 6 hours after my call! Sure beats the customer service of any companies here. Had to wait months for the guy on Northpark to get me a broken knob for another appliance.

If you find something on their website I may have a coupon for it as they constantly email me coupons.

You cant go wrong with a Bosch, love ours so quiet.

We just bought a Kitchen Aid- we're very happy with it. We get a discount with Bosch but when dh compared the 2 he liked the Kitchen Aid better because the racks seemed sturdier and better engineered and Kitchen Aid has heat dry

people I house-sit for got a Bosch and I love it. Its so quiet I can't even tell when it is on and the dishes shine like crazy. As long as you use the rinse aid as directed, it dries just as well as heat dry units do.

Great--thanks so much, everyone!

i just purchased a Kitchen Aid too. I also was deliberating between this one and a Bosch. The K-A was equally quiet and am very happy with it. The Bosch is quiet but I didn't like the fact that it doesn't have a heated dry plus I didn't like the placement of the detergent cup on the Bosch.
My 2 cents

I'm not sure what the source for this reliability comparison is, but the graphic was lifted from applianceassistant.com

For what it's worth, Consumer Reports also reported the LG brand dishwashers had the worst repair histories.

Thanks, WP--good info to know!

I replaced a 9 year old Kitchen Aid with another one. It's 2 years old and has to be repaired three times. I wouldn't buy another one.

Just replaced our GE with a Kenmore. Love, love, love it!!

Our KitchenAid is extremely quiet, our goal. Had to replace the pump in about two year. Other than that it has been pretty good, cleans well.

We bought an Electrolux a few years ago and couldn't be happier.

They run so quiet that when the wash cycle is finished it shines a light on the floor to let you know it's finished.

You simply cannot hear it, even if you're standing right next to it.
