Where is ford rd in porter? I am thinking about buying something and this is where it is located. I love deals but hate that the scaredy cat in me holds me back.

gee thanks WP, so incredibly helpful but I was looking for a little more info than that. Hence the scaredy cat comment. How is the area?

SleightOfHand --- 11 years ago -

What are you scared of?

Fiona --- 11 years ago -

I do not want to end up in a area that I would feel uncomfortable in. By that I do not mean a older area but more of a bad area of town.

napoleon --- 11 years ago -

Where are you going on Ford Rd? I've been to the stables - not a bad area. If you go in daylight I'm sure you will be fine.

Fiona --- 11 years ago -

I do not have the full location she said porter off ford rd.

Warren Peace --- 11 years ago -

If you like meth, vehicle burglaries, and other property damage, you're going to LOVE the east end of Ford Rd.

Humans seem more evolved to the west of that area.

You'll find beer cans along the side of the road throughout Ford Rd. On the west side, you'll see bottles and brands such as Shiner, Bud, and Michelob but as you reach the east end they tend to be Busch, PBR, Keystone, and Natural Light.

he's teasing you! Ford Rd. is rural looking but perfectly safe!! Warren, you're such a bad boy!! LOL!!

MalevolentWitchesClub --- 11 years ago -

get your affairs in order before travelling to there hell hole

Perfection --- 11 years ago -

You won't feel safe there. Be sure you take a convoy

Dorothy Parker --- 11 years ago -

Mills Branch road turns into Ford Road, right?

Porter isn't exactly known for its bad areas...lol.

Rednecks, yes.

MalevolentWitchesClub --- 11 years ago -

yes perfection lives there to so avoid that area

Fiona --- 11 years ago -

Thank you to the few that had helpful info. I was not trying to trash porter at all.

I love Porter! I deliberately left Kingwood where I lived my entire life to live in Porter and yes, it is as awesome as you could imagine!

freebyrdll --- 11 years ago -

If you feel safe on Dunham Rd, you should be OK. ;)

Scaredy cat is not the word that comes to mind here.... Do you never travel outside of the bubble? Avoid Humble all together, much less anything south of Humble down 59? Geeez people you act like you're living next to the 5th ward. If you're that concerned about the area then I'm sure the "deal" you're worried about missing isn't worth risking your life over *eyeroll*

ummmm maybe you should have a little more information before you ASSume things. I do not live in the bubble and if I did I would absolutely know that bubbles do not exist. I am not familiar with the area and simply asked a freaking question. No need to be a well the word that came to mind other than scaredy cat. I wouldn't necessarily call huffman the ghetto but there are a couple of places that I would avoid just as there are everywhere. So take those panties and straighten them out.

Are we great again yet --- 11 years ago -

They just closed.
If you would have gone 3 hours ago, you would have been back by now.

planemom --- 11 years ago -

For a business Ford Rd. would be great. Given the amount of traffic I would not want to live off of it. Traffic will only increase as more houses are built off Mills Branch Road.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

you won't have to wait that long- between the railroad closings, and the coming work on Northpark, I expect Ford Rd. to get more than their share of bypass traffic-

Just Aitch --- 11 years ago -

I've noticed the sneaky exit out of kngwood is becoming more and more popular...I'm all for widening Kingwood Drive!!

Johnny Slam --- 11 years ago -

There's allot of apartments on Ford Rd. Every crime committed against my family and property has come from people from local apartments. Just sayin.
