East Montgomery County Observer
We are currently working to bring you more information about a fatal accident on the outbound (north) lanes of U.S. Highway 59 near the 1960/Humble exit ramp. We have reporter Nate Brown headed toward the scene and traffic is very heavy on the 59 toward Kingwood as investigators work to determine what may have caused the accident. Stay tuned - Jennifer and Nate.

sad, thanks for the heads up.

Hubby is already stuck in it. HOV only works for multiple people.

I hope she didn't have time to realize what was happening-

I was on the bus and we drove by after they flipped the SUV upright. The whole drivers-side roof was caved in so if she had time to realize what was happening, it was brief.

Heartbreaking

We drove by o the feeder after it happened. Even the feeder was slowed down to one lane. The Culligan truck was on the feeder and the SUV was upside down on the freeway? Did she flip over on to the freeway?? So sad. Fwy traffic was a mess. We got on the freeway from the feeder before 1960 and it was clear.

SomeTexasChic --- 11 years ago -

Sad.

Just curious, but isn't the speed limit on the feeder 40 in that area?

Not sure how fast the cars were going, but people tend to fly through there. Wondering if a life could have been spared today...

napoleon --- 11 years ago -

The news said the victim wasn't wearing a seatbelt and her car rolled over several times.

FANCY PANTS --- 11 years ago -

The truck driver changed lanes and hit her. So YES, a life could have been saved. So sad for the family.
