I need to have my sprinkler system looked at and repaired and the company I use is scheduling 2 weeks out. Any recent experience and recommendations would be appreciated.

I've heard Mr.Sprinklerrepair does a good job. I haven't used them personally but I've heard good things about them. Also, if you call them and tell them you're a Gardenline listener, they'll get you scheduled faster.

You're welcome. If you do use Mr. Sprinkler, please let me know how they are. We're needing some work done eventually and I was thinking about using them. 

I just have my handy guy - Gary - work on mine. In fact he is here doing that now plus installing an outdoor light, fixing leaky toilet, painting some things, etc. He charges $25 hr with a 2 hour min. In the past he has built bookcases, installed undercounter lighting, retextured walls and painted, installed ceiling fans, etc. Basicly he has rebuilt and customized my house. You should see the brick walls in each of the bedrooms with art portrait lights. His number is 832-267-3144. He does leave next week to finish building a lake house on Lake Livingston and won't be back for several weeks.

ELC is booking 2 weeks out, they are the company I have used in the past. I have not had sprinkler problem for a while. I believe one of their main techs passed away last year.
Thanks zapper and Cookin Queen. I now have to wait for the Centurylink team to close the holes in my yard before the sprinkler guys come out so I haven't scheduled anyone else yet. I have ELC coming in 2 weeks but likely will not want to wait. Hopefully CenturyLink will be done by tomorrow and have my phone line back up and my yard put back into some order.

I called Mr Sprinkler repair today and got a busy signal. I called back and was on hold saying someone would be with me shortly then I was thrown into voicemail.

We'll see if/when they call back. 

No sooner than I had typed my response they called me back. I have a Tues appointment with Mr sprinkler repair, one week sooner than ELC could get to me.

we use City Wide Lawn and Pest- have for years- he takes care of all our lawn treatments, too- 

Tay's put in our system when we lived in SWH. We were very happy with them, but not sure if they're still in business, it was a long time ago.

Mr. Sprinkler came to my house today. They did a wonderful job. Fixed the problem I called them for and then when I asked them to check the rest fixed all of those issues too. In all I had two broken pipes (one easy fix, one not so much), one broken head and he adjusted several heads. All of this for a $90 service call.

I was very pleased, the only negative is they didn't give me a bill on the spot. Called in my card number and will send me a copy of the invoice. I'll have to watch my statement but as of right now I'm happy. 

Mr. Sprinkler repair came this morning and it was not much more than yours reh6110, I had 2 broken pipes and he checked my system. He was very knowledgeable. I did notice he had a landscape company logo on his shirt and asked if he was contracted to do the work and he said yes. I was very pleased with the work and the price and the time to do the job was quick.

Frank took my $100 but didn't fix my problem! I paid him to fix 1 sprinkler head for $100 and look at the others which nothing was done to them. The one he said he fixed was not working the next day and WATER WAS GUSHING OUT. I called and called and he never came out to make it right! Always an excuse! I found his number again and called to see if he would make it right and he still didn't. I have given him over a year before writing this article. Then he accusing me of wanting something for free! Ha... most of the service companies lie, steal and cheat! Don't promise what they say!
