The volunteer group at Memorial Northeast is a great place to volunteer. Just call and ask for the volunteer's office and they will be more than happy to give you information and details.

I volunteerd there for a couple of years until walking became a major problem.

If you want to stay local and like dogs, the Boston rescue is at the Petco in Kingwood every weekend and they are always looking for people to walk the dogs and socialize them. My DD loves going to help out.

I used to volunteer at Petco and the Montgomery shelter.. Both places aren't exactly clean, but they could always use an extra hand.

Any place that serves the poor can use volunteers. Clinics, food banks, clothing and furniture, meals on wheels, etc.

The Wildlife Center of Texas always needs volunteers. You get to feed baby squirrels and stuff :)
