When are the people of Kingwood going to be able to make some real choices in TV and internet. It seems unfair that Suddenlink would continue to have a monopoly on this service. Competition is healthy for any business and great for consumers.

Davi --- 10 years ago -

It is not up to the people of Kingwood. It is up to if AT&T wants to spend the money to put in the infrastructure.
Then there is the matter of City Council approving such a move.

Believe me, there are plenty of folks that would subscribe to it. Folks are fed up with Suddenlink.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

uverse would be in kingwood tomorrow if they could. There are too many Comcast contracts. I have been lobbying for 2 years.

I would bail Suddenlink in a fladh!

AT&T is starting to convert their network to all fiber. Some areas now have gigabit connections. CenturyStink is no where close to begin the transition from copper to fiber in existing neighborhoods.

Folks in apartments have even less choice. Depending on where the apt is, you most likely don't face the right direction to pick up a satellite signal to get DTV. AND the apartments have "deals" set up where you have to get their pkg if you want service at all. deals to the tune of $180.00 a month. And Suddenlink is axing channels weekly so they get less and less for their money, no competition and no choice in service price.

It's a total rip off.

Choices have always been bad in Kingwood and SuddenLink always seemed to have the upper hand. Glad to have satellite here. But I wish we had more choices in general. Why Companies don't want to come to Kingwood and the 75,000 homes is beyond me.

RW19 --- 10 years ago -

I sure wish we had another choice. Suddenlink just raised the rate on our internet.

Hello - My name's Kacie, and I'm with Suddenlink. I would be happy to help with any service issues you may be experiencing. Please feel free to email me directly if there's anything I can do to assist you. My email address is socialsupport-AT-suddenlink-DOT-com. Thank you, -Kacie

Kacie, You want to help? Sell Suddenlink to AT&T... that will help...

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

Kacie, Suddenlink is good. But your price to value ratio sucks hot rocks in you know where.

A Class Action Lawsuit against Suddenlink by Kingwood/Forect Cove Area residents is in the works. The practices of this company are questionable at best. It is time for us to stand together as a community and address the unfair practices and monopoly that is Suddenlink.

I would be so happy to have uverse!
Had them several years ago when I lived in Pasadena, they have great price and customer service. Not happy with sudden link, since I moved here in November

Texvette --- 10 years ago -

I just dropped Suddenlink. Couldn't take their constant price increases anymore. Plus, no Root Sports
