You just reminded me I have a lighted flamingo I could put on my deck. Cool...wonder where that thing is. Anytime we put something by the curb it is gone in no time. Better to give it a home than make more trash.

However, it does looks pretty tacky sitting out there in the middle of the yard. But ... better than a vehicle up on the grass or a uninstalled toilet! :) 

Now a "lighted pink flamingo" is much different than the "run of the mill" flamingo. Lighted adds a lot of class.

The backyard is fine for those things. 

I still like the idea of sitting out on the driveway and chatting with all of the neighbors, while the kids all play. I don't do it, but I would love that, tacky or not.

We always sit in the backyard, but we never meet anyone new in the backyard. If we were a little more tacky, we'd know more neighbors. Of course, then they'd get on KU and complain about us. 

I put a lawn mower near the curb with a sign that said "free." Sat there for three days. On the fourth day, I put a sign on it that said "$25." Someone "stole" it within an hour.

If only everything sitting at or on the curb were free...
I'd have to replace my trash can twice a week, but the cash I could make from selling all the cars parked on the curb would more than make up for it.

Got a vehicle constantly blocking a street or driveway? Slip a "For Sale" sign on it. I bet it'll get someone's attention.
