I don't shop at Kroger per se. Never liked it. But it seems they have the best selection of gift cards at Christmas so I find myself there during the holidays every year. I also run in to pay for my car registrations each year. That's very handy.

This year I found myself at Kroger more times than usual even at Christmas. I went to the Big Kroger 2 times and I went to the Little Kroger on Northpark 4 times in 2 weeks. Gift card list fulfilled and foods and small/candy gifts picked up while I was there.

I never could figure out what it is that I don't like about Little Kroger and finally, after some consistent visits, I've figured out one thing. They OVERCHARGE. It's just a dollar here and there. Not enough to take another trip to get my money back for the error. But it adds up. Example. I bought "Med. Yellow Onions" $.58/lb. When I got home I was charged $.88/lb Sweet Onions price. OK no biggie. But then there were other charges during other visits that were wrong as well, a sale item that was run up a regular price etc. If you are a regular shopper there, it would add up!

I've said it before, I like to get my groceries and leave. I am not a lover of grocery shopping let alone having to look over the cashier's shoulder to make sure I am paying the right price. Plus, I am usually bagging my own groceries as Baggers are nowhere to be found. I used to be bugged by those who wait to bring out their credit card at the last minute. Now i know why! They are watching so that they aren't over charged. Why should we have to do this??

The employees seem nice enough at the Little Kroger. But they won't be seeing me next year.

I watch my prices and call them out when they are wrong, even if it is a penny. 99% of the time I will self check out so my groceries are decently bagged instead of one or two items per bag. Have no problem holding up the line if the price is wrong. Happens at HEB too, hate going the HEB...

What happened to the old Kroger Policy, "If it rings up wrong we'll refund you double?" Is that sign still around at the register? I only saw a handmade sign that said, "No cash back!".

Been going to the "old" Kroger.

Check every single item.

Never had any error...

I Was just in there! And yep, it happened! I buy the fresh nuts in the shell for my parrot at this time of the year and freeze them and it can last me past summer. But they over charge me every time for the nuts. Suppose to be $3.99 lb for Walnuts. They charged me $4.99 lb. and there were other things. I watch them, and it never fails. I make them give me the right price.

Are you sure you are not looking at the "kroger card" price?

Never trust Kroger. They are wonderful people but they are retarded. The
"card price" does not kick in until the Kroger card is swiped. c

Even if you give them your Kroger member number?

Maybe your personality is so electric - it is interfering with the Point-of-Sale at checkout time...lol

Little Kroger is great for the community in that they employ a lot of young people. But I truly think that is part of their problem as well. Young people are just learning about real responsibility and will make mistakes.

I liked the Big Kroger better. No mistakes there at all. But the store is a little too big and overwhelming for me. I have trouble focusing bewteen my needs and my wants hahaha But it was run well. Hence the reason why I haven't ventured into the Big HEB yet.

I swiped the Kroger card as soon as I walk up to the little machine. Then I swiped my cc directly after so that the transaction is nearly complete. The receipt was definitely wrong with the onions. I know what I bought. It says, "sweet onions". I did not buy sweet onions but rather medium "yellow onions". I did not buy the big yellow onions, but the medium size because the large ones don't fit in my storage bin. I hate shopping but I know what I'm buying, I know what I need, and I know what I am doing. It was coded in wrong. Personally I don't know how they know the differences between the 10 types of onions. But it's their job do know produce so they don't over charge us. Or at least take the time to ask.

I am friendly with all cashiers and service help. I almost always ask them about their day. They seem to enjoy the conversation as if no one ever speaks to them. The young Kroger cashiers, baggers etc., seem to be talking to each other?

I have never looked so closely at the registers as they ring me up before. I'd rather talk with the cashier. But for the Little Kroger to make so many mistakes on $100 orders in just 2 weeks time is a little disconcerting.

I won't be shopping there again. I have choices and this is my choice. Just be aware.

I recently bought wild-caught Gulf Shrimp jumbo at $12.99 a pound. I was charged 13.99.

Same day I bought two 12 packs of paper towels and an 18 pack of toilet paper. These are all large items. When packing in my car I noticed I was missing the toilet paper. WTF how difficult is it to get all the items in my takeaway cart?? When I get back in the store they told me the girl is in the parking lot looking for me so I wait a bit. Then I tell them I just want my toilet paper because I need to leave. They inform me that I have to go get another package. So I am further inconvenienced and have to go halfway across the whole store to get myself another pkg. Of course as I was exiting for the second time in walks the girl with my original package.
