I heard that Mo is no longer at Fiesta Azteca. He was the manager/backbone of that place. He was what made going there a genuinely nice experience.

Anyone else hear this and know why?

Kingwood Pressure Washing --- 3 years ago -

I love that place. I hope it doesn't go downhill.

StopItNow --- 3 years ago -

Me too

And the owner of Fiesta, who also owns Johnny's Pizza just closed the pizza joint. It looks like a downhill snowball. He also owns Pop's Ice House on Loop 494 and that place has a For Sale sign in front of it. One has to wonder what's going on.

Interesting... the owner of Johnny's Pizza is also the owner of Arturo's Hair Salon. Didn't know he owned the others...

It's my understanding that Johnny's was sold a few months back to the Mexican food place's owner.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

Johnny's was sold to the owner of Fiesta this past summer.

Most of his businesses were really successful. I wonder what's going on?

Johnny's is a Louisiana tradition, owned by someone from LA. Maybe he moved back to LA? Might be a good thing to close if tradition can't be maintained. It's too bad though. I liked that place! It was clean and comfortable. And the pizza was good!

I beg to differ, Johnny's was owned by John Arthur. A resident, neighbor and friend of mine in Kingwood. It is/was no relation to the one in LA. He also owns (I guess he still does) Arturo's Hair Salon which was named after his father.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

It was a local guy that owned Johnny's and the owner of Fiesta bought it from him. It was not owned by someone out of LA.

I think what Tink was getting at was Johnnys is a franchise - originating in Shreveport LA- don't know anything about the local franchise owner- sorry to see it go- I liked this pizza

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 3 years ago -

That's true, JP. It's suppose to have La roots and style of food. I haven't been there in a while but it was good pizza. :(

TinktheSprite --- 3 years ago -

I didn't know it as owned by a local. Always thought it was owned by someone who came from LA (during Katrina?) and opened it? shrug I guess not. It's still a loss. Except for NY Pizzeria, RC's, where is another pizza place where you can sit down and eat?

Try Christopher's - and Zamitti's...

andreweggplant --- 3 years ago -

Italiano's has great pizza...

Texvette --- 3 years ago -

Went to Fiesta Azteca twice. Very disappointed with food and service. Could not hold a candle to Chachi's
