Has anyone used anyone they like locally? Got one screen repair and then one Android with the Dread Pink Pixel line.

Did a quick search and came up with:

Re: S7 edge pink line down screen [ Edited ]

@MTZ Ufortunately this is a hardware related problem so doing to the factory reset and trying to clear the cache will not help. The problem is in the LED screen itself and will need to be replaced. More specifically it is the vertical line driver that has failed. (I cannot 100% say with certainty that this is the case without physically inspecting the device, but everytime I have seen this in the past that was the cause.)

It's a fairly new phone. Maybe a factory fix?

Yeah, thanks. I knew it was a biggie, quite common eith S7 Edge, actually. But not big enough for Samsung to make it a recall. My coverage deductible is $200. Thought I might find someone who could repair it for less. My phone is about 18 mos old. I have to have it repaired in order to upgrade. thought I would do it and at least enjoy the fruits of my investment.

Mine have been pretty reliable. I have an S3 that became useless as a phone when I changed carriers. It's still a great small tablet with wifi.

LOVED my S3!!! I still have my S5 and yes, it's still very useful. No problems with the S7 except with the @#$!pink line. I might spring for the S8 and not wait for the S9, if there is one, and there probably will be. My DH's screen is cracked. But that doesn't surprise me they way he manhandles his. We have the Android Forever, Samsung Forrever Plan, or something. They have to be in working order before we turn them in.
