I've got it so bad that I am going to attempt to go to the Grand Re-Opening of HEB tomorrow just to get out of these 4 walls. Depending on the crowd, I may not buy a thing but gotta' get out of this house!
This is the only day I did not take a 3hr nap. That's cuz I actually got off my frozen arse and folded some laundry, started taxes, planted some seeds in the indoor garden and a few other productive things. It's the most I've done since Tuesday! Seems when there a freeze it freezes my motivation!
Well, I did it! I knew it was going to be packed and crazy, but honestly it wasn't much different than any other regular Saturday at HEB. HEB's "Scott" came in while I was there ... kept waiting and hoping JJ would show up but no such luck.
Finally went to Kroger's, yesterday and I must say that I haven't missed that, at all. Glad HEB is open again and that things are slowly getting back to normal, since the hurricane, and this winter weather.
Well, I bet Gigi is outside!! But what a sloppy wet mess! I got faucets uncovered, hoses connected, plants unwrapped and doing laundry with all that gunk from outside all over everything. And it's sad that everything looks DEAD. I hate that. I lost a pretty bird bath too, cracked and broken. Curse the winter!! :(
You're bet is correct! LOL I had to survey the lot for a lot of broken limbs and dang pine cones everywhere! I did open the plastic covering that sealed off my patio green house and gave all the plants a good drink. It never got to below 43 deg in there and all my potted plants were eager for a drink and some fresh air. I've left all the outside faucets covered though, since more cold is inevitable. Everything outside looks terrible but they will stay that way until spring ... which can't come soon enough for me! Yes ... curse the winter! Come on spring.
