Just saw that we are now back into severe drought conditions.
Great! Just great!

AuthorMan --- 12 years ago -

I'll give the dogs more water! :-)

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

I wanna get wet...:) Come on RAIN!!!

AngieKaye --- 12 years ago -

guess I need to start watering the yard again... just hate all that money going to the City of Houston to save my trees!

Gigix4 --- 12 years ago -

I'll give the lawn a drink but I'm more concerned about the stinkin' foundation.
Turning on the soaker hoses again tomorrow. Just what we need now - high water bills at Christmas.

TinktheSprite --- 12 years ago -

My timers are all set to "on" again. At least we don't have to pay summer rates.

analogkid --- 12 years ago -

It just keeps getting better and better here.

Perfection --- 12 years ago -

Yet not as much coverage by the media this year. Are we not supposed to be aware?

We've been watering the foundation for a while now. This has been crazy for the trees

Gigix4 --- 12 years ago -

Just heard on this morning's weather report that we can probably expect a warmer and dryer winter.
Bugs are gonna' hang around and more trees are going to die. Just what we need.

Perfection --- 12 years ago -

Yeah, I just put in a bunch of trees this year too. Guess I need to look at adding even more next year

Just be prepared to water them well. Trees take a lot of water and especially when they are just getting started.

Perfection --- 12 years ago -

Oh yes, I do but this having to replace all the time is getting old, and expensive!

AudreyO --- 12 years ago -

Guess I need to start watering my trees and grass too. It never fails to rain about 10 hours after I do it. :(

lol - then please, do us all a favor and get out there and water! I might even dare to wash my vehicle. We need some rain.

The neighbors big oak tree fell across the street last night. Thank goodness at night because it would have smashed a car. We knew the top was dead but it still had lots of green leaves lower down. It broke off about 6 ft from the ground. I don't think we've actually left the drought up front in Kingwood.

That kinda' stuff happening is so scary to me. The "what ifs" ... a child could have been walking by or a car driving by or if it fell in a different direction and fell on someone's house.

Perfection --- 12 years ago -

And it is amazing how many trees fall when we do get a little rain. The roots can't handle the wet ground now and the trees topple.

I read earlier it would take five or six years to completely come out of the drought due to the lingering damage on the trees.

I can't imagine how much foundation damage has been done and continues to be done. I wanted to have mine checked but am going to wait until this is all finished.

Foundation repair is so expensive when compared to a high water bill.

Pacmax --- 12 years ago -

My next door neighbor just has his foundation fixed, it was 7,500. Wow

Did you hear about the tree that fell at Kingwood CC? Fell right next to my beautiful POS.. lol
