Anybody had this procedure done? Eyes are drooping a little - just want to hear of any positive or negative experiences - lol!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

DearestTattooDragon is in the business of facial care...she would be a good source of info...

But I hear it just stretches your skin out so bad, instead of removing it, that you need another procedure for sagging skin in about 2 years. :(

iwaveatcows --- 10 years ago -

i don't understand how it works -- they say the procedure or whatever it is only last less than an hour ... and, as above, I'd wonder how long it would last -- kind of like Botox -- be afraid to be looking pretty and then all of a sudden BAM you are old again! LOL

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

don't do it-it's the equivalent of a 1920's face lift-just the skin is lifted-as far as your eyes go, a face lift doesn't do squat for that-you need to do that separately-

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

They say they lift the muscles underneath as well? Has anyone actually had it done?

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

no, they don't-

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

I wouldn't do it, get a peel first...maybe that's all you need to refresh yourself...surgery is serious stuff.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

true- there are all sorts of procedures you can do,now, without going under the knife-

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

Maybe regular plastic surgeon is better?

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

They don't work for sagging, droopy skin though.

zapper007 --- 10 years ago -

Just age naturally - you have earned...

JAMS --- 10 years ago -

lol, I thought this was going to be about being a better person!!

TinktheSprite --- 10 years ago -

This is what I have concluded about plastic surgery. You can't stop doing it by the nature of the beast. You get your eyes done and it makes your cheeks look saggy. You get your cheeks implants and suddenly your chin looks bad and so on. The rest of your body will age around the work you do which will remain youthful, like, breast implants. I would go the topical route. There are so many fine products and procedures now that will nearly reverse the signs of aging. They are less costly and less painful, too. Derma Roller, Ultrasonic cleansing, peels, etc really do work!

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

When you pass 50 these things cannot lift the sagging skin and muscles underneath as far as I know - there is a procedure known as Ultherapy - but it is minimal - the gold standard is still the facelift procedure. Or is there something else?

MoreToLife --- 10 years ago -

I had a filler put in around my eyes for my daughters wedding. I'm thrilled! I look so well rested and younger. I didn't go overboard.

MoreToLife --- 10 years ago -

And I didn't use any botox. But when I saw my eyes, I wanted to go farther. LOL it's exciting!

Laurabeth --- 10 years ago -

Amen zapper.....

I always said the same thing when I was in my 30's to 40's. When I hit 50 and my eye lids bit the dust, I was all for it!

Kathy call Dr. J. Todd Andrews at 281-358-3488. Have a consultation and enjoy simple results.

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

Thank you! I am scared of general anesthesia - never had it! That's one reason I like Lifestyle Lift - local anesthesia only!

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

I was always a very natural person - never had any plastic surgery! But when you pass 50 your face seriously starts to age and there are so many people doing it now. It is affordable and the results can be very natural. Need good surgeons names and prefer local anesthesia.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

Most of the aging you get will be genetic, as is other issues...bone structure, skin tone, how you have eaten and exercised, or not. Start good habits EARLY on and keep it up, knock 10 years off your appearance.

And don't smoke....horrible on the skin.

The weird thing about all this is women in their 30's are starting "procedures" now....where as before nobody did that...

TinktheSprite --- 10 years ago -

A lot of changes occur to women over 50, and the skin is no different. Dryness is common and you have to change your skin care regimen to accommodate those changes. What worked in your 30's and 40's may not necessarily work in your 50's. Your skin is very reactive. Proper cleansing, toning, exfoliation, moisturizing, and skin treatments can do wonders.

So true!

I wouldn't know dry skin if it bit me...grease monkey here..oh well...

And with all of that at our disposal, even more reason to put off the knife..

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

Wow, that's cool...^^^^^

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

just remember, it's preventative- those excercizes won't do much if your face is really aged, and if you've been in the sun all your life-(and smoked) the sun breaks down collagen and elastin... I don't want to be a party pooper, but it works best when lines and/or are just starting...

IbarraFam222 --- 10 years ago -

Don't do surgery on your eyes! I've seen so many horror stories where surgeons nip too much skin and then you can't close your eyes all the way. Imagine the pain and constant tearing.

sheddy --- 10 years ago -

I know that there have to be good surgeons out there, but we only notice the people who used a bad one! lol I can remember watching a movie with Sophia Loren about 35 years ago. It was her life story and she played her younger self. She looked good in the face, but her arm and hands gave away her real age.

Kathy --- 10 years ago -

I heard that some people want that 'Hollywood Facelift' frozen, tight look! Sounds strange but you can ask for a refreshed, natural look! I'm worried about the anesthesia though - that's why Lifestyle offers local anesthesia - just don't know if it has the same results and how long they last?
Anybody had it done there???

TinktheSprite --- 10 years ago -

If you want to look refreshed without anesthesia, seriously look in to a facial peel. They have 4 levels (at least) at Dermatologist, Dr. Greenburg's office. (See Shelly) The lightest peel you can go out to dinner afterward. The harshest peel will keep you out of the public for 3-4 days but you come out with new-looking skin all over your face. Try it.

My aunt got her skin removed from under her neck. Turkey neck. Anyways that scar she was left with is terrible. It's right under chin.
