Dr. Manion in the KW hospital complex is REALLY good. And he doesn't hate it when you ask a lot of questions. He said mine were the best questions! Yay me. LOL. But seriously, I DO ask a lot of questions and I don't like it when a doc makes me feel like if I go past my 8 minute allotted time, I have broken some rule.

He is very expensive, but one of the most experienced and educated. The truth is, depending on what you're having done, a regular experienced dentist can remove wisdom teeth or other things. You don't always need an oral surgeon. 

Stanton and Manion are in the same office. Both are awesome.

I'm sorry, it is Manon. But they pronounce it funny. It sounds like filet "mignon" but with an A instead of an I- Magnon. If you go there, you'll see what I mean.

My Mom used to work for Dr. Stanton and he was pretty good. Although i hear he likes to sing "killing me softly" while putting his patients to sleep and has a "beautiful" voice :) ... 

Dr. Stanton did a fabulous job on my child. 

Dr. Manon is awesome! My oldest had a more complicated case and he did a beautiful job.

I highly recommend him. :)

I totally agree with SiFi about Dr. Mannion. Too long of a story, but believe me is well worth all the money.

DS got his out 6 days ago and dd had hers out last month. Dr. McDonald and his staff were great and neither child had any complications. I highly recommend Dr. Gary McDonald. His office is on Green Oak/Kingwood Drive.

Ditto on Dr. Manon (yes its pronounced Mignon) . He is awesome. Handled my kids wisdom teeth extractions and removal of teeth for otho too. 

Good luck getting an appointment with an oral surgeon anytime soon. Both DH amd I had dental emergencies requiring extractions and neiither Stanton nor Manon could see us before September due to so many kids getting their wisdom teeth out before school starts. Fortunately we found someone to pull DH's tooth because he was in extreme pain. I have to wait until next Tuesday to get mine done and I've been taking pain meds for 2 weeks now and I'm miserable. Dental pain is just the worst. 

you can also try Dr. Ermelinda Da Ponte, she's Dr. Manon's wife. Her office is on WLH in Atascocita. She was great with my dd

DH had a HORRIBLE experience with Manion. He wanted to take out extra teeth when he only went in for his 3 wisdom. The office staff were really disrespectful to him as well, multiple times (in person and on the phone). They kept changing appointment dates last minute because the office wanted to leave early on those days.

Very serious. My Mom used to work for him and listened to his wonderful singing every day hahaha. The things they say to people are comical, while they are knocked out of course .. Reason why I still haven't gotten my wisdom teeth pulled yet! .. I know my Mom is going to be making fun of me the whole time lol

So your mom admitted to being unprofessional with patients while their were knocked out and accused a prominent doctor of doing the same?

There could be legal consequences to that.

wow. that is pretty sad of your mom.

I really find it hard to believe Dr. Stanton would be making fun of people that are unconscious. he seems like a strong Christian man to me. I would also think that with his devotion to his son Joseph and his tragedy that he would be the last person to behave unprofessionally with someone that was unable to speak for themselves.

No. She worked there for many years then decided she wanted to travel and work In maxillary facial surgery. Never said he was a bad Dr. .. Just crazy .. :) 

Hissyfit .. Yes he is a nice Christian man :) And this was before his sons accident. His whole family is nice. Dr. Stanton has a good personality .. Nothing wrong with that.

there is a big difference between a good personality and your tale about making fun of people when they are knocked out. I think it is very unprofessional of your mother to be talking about things that could ruin someones reputation. 

She doesnt talk about him to other people. She is very professional and does a very good job as well. Didnt mean to "Offend" you. 

..and by "making fun of" they say "how many shots of tequila do you want" and when they are finished with their patients they tell them they haven't even started surgery yet. I know when they pull my wisdom teeth they are going to ask me silly questions bc they know me on a more personal level. Never said they were unprofessional.
