Does anyone know approx how much a taxi would cost from IAH to the back of KW? 

65 bucks AND they even expect a friggin tip 

My neighbor used to pay a kid to take and get her from the airport. It was cheaper and she didn't have to ride with a stranger. I go all the time and sit in the cell phone lot. I hate going, but I do feel safe sitting there. 

To and from that airports are flat rates.

That's what I paid last summer. 

Paid 34 last spring for a taxi. Last fall caught a limo which had just dropped people off and paid about 60. Had just gotten off a bus transfer from a cruise ship and didn't want to cart all my luggage to departure area to catch a cab so took a limo as taxi drivers can't pick up at arrival even if they have just dropped off someone.

It's 2014, zapper, this thing called the Internet is pretty cool. Most big cities have zone fares to and from the airport because cabbies have a knack for ripping off people unfamiliar with the city. And with that Internet thing, you can loom up zone prices. 

We have had the worst luck with Taxis in this town. The first time was a no show so we thought we would give them a second chance. We were to be at the airport at 5 am. The night before, we called for the taxi service, told them we needed to be picked up at 4:30 am. They said, No problem. At 4 am, my husband called them, to remind them and they said, they are on their way. 5:15 came, no taxi so we called and the gals says, Oh, they have not come in to pick up their order yet. That was the last time we did that. Now, we park with pre flight. Great service, they pick you up at your car, load your luggage and take you to the door of the airport. 6.50 a day to park. I just don't trust taxis to get me to where I need to go anymore.

I brought a lady to the airport today. Her car got totaled and she was running late. She got to experience the joys of lights and sirens 

That happened to me, Sleight. My car broke down. I called friends who helped me push my car to a parking lot. A policeman stopped to help us. They asked if the officer would take me to the airport so I wouldn't miss my flight and he did! No sirens, though.

Have you used it before? Did it take a while to get home because of all the other stops? 

I have not personally used this, but a co-worker gave me this info for a KW resident that runs a shuttle to and from the airport. You might try calling it. (I got this info over a year ago and just stored it for future reference). Maybe someone on here is familiar with this service and can review it for you:
