It was a foggy, quiet night in the neighborhood. An occasional cat darted across the property. The soft call of a nightingale echoed in the distance. Yet, I sat, awaiting the inevitable, knowing his arrival was imminent...... 

Headlights glowed dimly through the fog in the distance.... I KNEW it had to be him. 

As the vehicle inched closer however, I was shocked to see..... 

.......a headless driver calling himself Washington Irving.... 

Legend has it that Washington Irving was a famous impersonator AND often cloaked his head from the human eye.... my dog however would not be fooled! As Washington opened the car door....... 

The street light reflected on his torso, revealing the shiny barrel of a gun- 

I slipped my hand around his barrel, stroking, stroking... 

And the still steaming, foot long coney from Sonic fell to the street; cheese tots and all.. 

I felt the splatter of juices on my legs... 

The splattering, as it turns out, was my dog... Nobody's fool, urinating on Washington!! Totally distracted I grabbed the gun and held it tightly... trained on him. Suddenly.... 

...as I held his piece in my hand and felt the long hardness it suddenly erupted with a jerk...... 

A second gun!!!! Originally cloaked..... 

You guys scare me. Lol 

Scaring Mulch, who had pulled up to see what the commotion was about.. 

Mulchie stared in disbelief.. 

as she saw the restrained, hooded goat bleating in the backseat.. 

.....it reminded her she watches too much TV!! 

A sacrificial offering, she thought- 

"What's happening here?" cried Mulchie. "Who are you?" 

The headless man couldn't speak, but gestured in sign language- unfortunately, Mulchie didn't know how to read it- 

A single finger, extended. Could it be a secret code? 

She thought, probably not, due to the finger he gestured with. 

"I see," she said. "Always think of number 1." 

He then jumped back in the car, and careened away, presumably to take the goat to the designated meeting place for the ritual. 

"If I dont, who will" 

She sighed, turned thrice and disappeared. 

Will it be cabrito or barbacoa? I'll ice down the brews! 

And suddenly a bright light appeared in the sky ... 

...rays scattered by mist, soft visions appeared. Shadowy, cloaked beings. 

...followed by the booming voice of.... 

"Walk this way!" 

Throngs emerged, from everywhere, walking two by two, turned into zombies it seems... Mulchie froze, unable to even lift the glass of Chardonnay she had clutched in her non driving hand.

And then it got eerily quiet ... 

.......the sounds of silence permeated the highway to hell which lead to. ....... 

I like that clutching of the glass in the non-driving hand. I really thought most Zombies drank Muscato. 

Somebody's driving? 

....led to SIFI's kitchen where the smell of her special "brownies" made the zombies squirm and crawl on their bellies...
