MyOpinion --- 3 years ago -

Senator John Cornyn sold us down the river. He voted YES for Lynch nomination. Senator Ted Cruz voted NO with the other conservatives that believe in the rule of law and the US Constitution. John Cornyn is one of the Washington DC establishment career politicians!!! Hoping for a good candidate to replace him.

them --- 3 years ago -

Did Cornyn have the deciding vote?

MyOpinion --- 3 years ago -

No, he had help from other weak Republicans. The vote was 56/43. Correction = Ted Cruz spoke out strongly against Lynch nomination but he was not there to cast a vote when it came to the floor.

MyOpinion --- 3 years ago -

John Cornyn's term is 5 more years .. til 2020. He has ample time to vote with Democrats in the destruction of our country. We get the government we deserve. Become an informed voter.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

Ted Cruz is a used car salesman.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 3 years ago -

No, Ted Cruz is a US Senator from Texas elected by the majority.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

Yes, some Texans think he's awesome. He will never win a national election. Not everyone is duped by the used car salesman mentality with which he treats his followers. Thank God.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 3 years ago -

Seems many more were duped by Obama.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

You sound just like those you're always bagging on for bringing up Bush to justify something.

In other words, being duped is ok, is what you're saying?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 3 years ago -

I'm saying why elect a politician of any brand to office and expect them not to act as a politician.

Dorothy Parker --- 3 years ago -

I'm saying why elect a politician of any brand to office and expect them not to act as a politician.?

No, that's not what you said, I said Ted Cruz has people duped, and your response was, Obama has duped more people.

Ok. So, in other words, being duped is ok...lol.

At least you admit you are being duped.

My problem with Cruz is that he's an intelligent man that panders to the most extreme right (lowest intelligence level) in the conservative party in order to get votes. That's not conducive to being a good president, regardless of the party. That's also the reason he'll never win a national election. The extreme Tea Party platform doesn't appeal to a moderate conservative or libertarian, and that is why the GOP is having a hard time on the national level. You can't have Sarah Palin types talking about "real America" and looking to trailer parks and extremists as your example of what a "real American" is. It alienates too many people. So, unless and until the GOP realizes that, keep expecting folks on the left to win.

It went completely over your head.

Cornyn: Good
Poe: Bad

And Obama is the President of the United States elected by the majority. Twice. That's this many. ONE. TWO. Hold up your fingers if you need help.

Cruz will never be President. Nor will any other Republican in 2016. One day you guys will learn your lesson.

You guys keep supporting ignorant, hillbilly Deliverance extras, and we will keep putting educated, experienced politicians in the White House.

Squeal like a pig!!!

TruBluTexan --- 3 years ago -

Cornyn and Cruz vote against each other more often than not.

As for this vote, I guess you would rather keep Holder around longer?

Work in Progress --- 3 years ago -

I'd LOVE to hear how "extreme" the tea party platform is compared the constitution. Anyone have that?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

I'm saving this thread in my favs.

Might be fun to revisit on Election Night in 2016.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

Hey! He and George W Bush have something in common. He too was also elected twice. That's this many. ONE. TWO.

the Markster --- 3 years ago -

Hey! He and George W Bush have something in common.

So did B.Clinton, & R.Reagan.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 3 years ago -

I think you're catching on, mark.

Regan had a second victory that was MONUMENTAL. Guess how many states Mondale won in that election.

I'll give you a hint: You can use just the fingers on one hand and just 2 of them need to be used.

Forgot to add P.B.O. to the list of two term presidents didn't I?

That was already mentioned.

james osterberg --- 3 years ago -
