Just found this but it isn't in Elm Grove.

HOUSTON -- Officials say a Houston Fire Department fireman and a woman have been found dead inside a Kingwood-area home.

The scene is unfolding off Lake Prince Lake at Smith Lake in the Waters Edge neighborhood.

Houston police aren't yet saying much, only that a concerned family member stopped by the house and discovered the body of the female close to the front door. That family member immediately called police.

"They had their guns out and they were going to go bust the door down to see what's going on. It was scary for us because we just barely moved here a year ago so we're like in shock," neighbor Vanessa Romero said.

The Houston Firefighters Association confirms to ABC-13 that the a Houston Fire Department firefighter was also found dead at the scene. Late Thursday, it issued the following statement:

"Houston fire fighters mourn the off-duty death tonight of Houston fire fighter Richard C. Deluna, who was a member of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 341. Our organization will strive to help support his brothers and sisters in the fire service, his family and his friends in this difficult time. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as answers are sought after this inexplicable tragedy."

The Houston Firefighters Association says Deluna was assigned to HFD Station 45.

Police say they're not looking for any suspects at this time.

I have been here in Kingwood since the back of Kingwood was lake Houston parkway and we high schoolers hung out at the Wendy's or the holiday foods parking lot back in the day ....so sad to see this community be ripped apart by crime and violence....

Keep us posted please.

Brittany's Mom --- 5 years ago -

I hear yeah
I have grown up in kingwood and I miss how it used to be

Well apparently this was a double suicide or murder suicide
Just not sure if it is the same one reported I don't think so because of the location and times

Just sad :(

Found this at khou 11 news.

HOUSTON -- A Houston firefighter has died in an apparent murder-suicide, according to the Houston Police Department.

The bodies were found before 7 p.m. Thursday at a Lake Houston-area home on Lake Prince Lane near Smith Lake Lane. Family members went to check on the couple because the female victim had not picked her daughter up earlier in the day.

According to HPD investigators, it's believed the firefighter fatally stabbed his girlfriend and then hung himself inside the home.

In an interview with KHOU 11 News, family identified the murder victim as Caroline Minjares, who was a registered nurse.

The Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association identified the firefighter as Richard C. Deluna.

But this house is in a neighborhood between Walden and Summerwood. Not sure what neighboprhood it is. No where near kingwood.

Also found this, this in Elm grove.

KINGWOOD, Texas ? Houston police were called late Thursday after family members found an older couple dead inside their Kingwood-area home.

The bodies were found around 10:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Knoll Terrace, according to police.

Homicide investigators believe the husband at the home fatally shot his wife and then himself. Both were in their 70s, police said.

A family member came to the home and called 911 after finding the couple dead.

Police believe the shootings happened earlier in the day Thursday.

Brittany's Mom --- 5 years ago -

Yep that would be it

Very sad :(
One of the neighbors said he had lost a son a few years back and has never been the same since

FANCY PANTS --- 5 years ago -

This is a horrible tragedy but I don't see it tearing the community of Kingwood apart.

I agree. A murder suicide is very sad but it doesn't pose a threat to anyone else. It is a domestic issue that can happen in any community because mental illness doesn't reside in just certain zip codes.

This is the exact right one. Sorry for the firefighter but its the wrong address and not even close to Elmgrove.

Feel bad for the family.

Dobby --- 5 years ago -

Does anyone know if the double murder in Kings River a few months ago was ever solved? An older couple was found beaten to death.

Miss Understanding --- 5 years ago -

I do not think so. I am still praying for them.

two murder suicides on the same day? dreadful.

Dorothy Parker --- 5 years ago -

Dang...I can't believe there were two situations like that on the same day. Crazy and sad!

With the older couple in Kingwood, it was definitely a murder/suicide? Not another situation like the one in Kings River?

Crime is sad no matter where it happens. Kingwood is no different. Sad things happen.
Crime has been happening here for quite while. It's just that you are noticing it now that you are an adult. While you were hanging out at Wendy's and grocery store, (who does that??) you probably heard about these things and simply shrugged it off because you as a normal teen, had more important things to think about, like where to hang out next weekend and where the next burger was going to come from.
