Would be interested in a painting designer specialist who can help me pick out paint colors for the interior of my home. It is an open floor plan, and would love for all the colors to coordinate. Anyone have any recommendations?

Seriously, you cant do this yourself?

Oh for heaven's sakes. They want a professional opinion. What is the big deal?

If I knew someone I would recommend, but I hear we have some good interior design consultants in the area.

Maybe you could collect some color samples and hire a designer for one hour?

Sherwin Williams has a paint specialist. My friend just used them and is very happy.

I was at Sherwin Williams earlier today and they have a paint specialist. It is $95.00 but they are currently giving you a $50 gift card to Sherwin Williams. Sounds like a good deal. I am also having a hard time deciding on a color.

We used this service when we had the exterior of the house repainted. We went from a single, uniform very pale (boring) color to a darker base with white trim and a darker accent color for doors and shutters. I think it looks stunning. We've even gotten compliments from strangers -within a week after completion, Mrs Peace was saying two different people who happened to be walking by, had stopped to compliment and inquire.

SherWms will give you a color deck of all their colors for free. Itsca little overwhelming. I would pick a color you like i.e. love to wear, or love to see, find it on the color deck then see the shades it comes in that pleases you. To go conservative, pick 1-3 of the same shade of color and use the brightest or darkest on an accent wall, foyer or a room you want to show of. Alcoves and recesses stand out when painted a shade darker. And the rest on other walls

Use a color wheel to find coordinating colors to avoid clashing if you want a different accent in each room. However for continuity, i would have one shade of your main color choice in each room.

We are currently painting interior. We chose SW's Latte as our main color but used the lighter Kelim Beige in some rooms as accent or full walls as well as the darker Showy Brown all with in the same color range. We have an open floor plan and colors can be seen from room to room. I have a sage green in one room and getting ready to choose a claret red to use an accentwall. It sounds like a lot of color but it's only since 3 of them are in the same family. Plus, i like apple trees. Lmao

Sherwin Williams is the painters' choice. I've always used their paints since their store was on Northpark where Akashi stands now. The paints come in different levels of cost i.e, cheaper ceiling paint vs highly durable paints for kitchens and children's areas, but all great paint. I was shocked at the rise in price (like everything else) A premium paint can cost $88/gal. More for oil-based enamels. I wait for 35-40% of sales to help with the cost. Sign up for their notifications of sales by text. But even with their darkest colors, you usually only need one coat. So their gallon goes far.

They will keep your name and color choices on file forever if you need the same color down the line. Their color-match system works great for base boards, window sills, and other woodwork which are usually oil-based and typically yellow over time. They can match that old color so you don't have to repaint all the trim each time.

I would recommend Stacey Green with Green with Envy Interiors! She is beyond an expert at picking paint colors, it is her speciality! She is an awesome interior designer! Her house could literally be in a magazine! Her prices are super fair and she is just the sweetest person to work with. I would have her pick your colors, she will listen and work with you....but her eye for color is amazing!
