Rand Paul isn't playing anymore. He's taking his ball and going home.

logic --- 9 years ago -

LOL, he didn't have a temper tantrum. Your "headline" is delusional.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

R E A C H I N G

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

What do you call it soup? He didn't qualify for the big kids stage, so he's what?

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

"I won't participate in anything that's not first tier because we have a first tier campaign," the Kentucky senator told CNN's Wolf Blitzer

Oh look, he wants a special participation award because he thinks he's a special flower. How cute

logic --- 9 years ago -

His response is called a statement.

OhBrother --- 9 years ago -

Shows a basic lack of character. Could you imagine someone with this mindset representing our country in international affairs?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Could you imagine someone with this mindset representing our country in international affairs?

We already have that. His name is Obama.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

If you think "international affairs" involves more misguided, and endless wars, then ok. If you think "international affairs" means diplomacy, peace, and progress then you're an idiot.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

I think Obama is a failure at his job.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

That depends on how you would define success. Most Americans disagree with you, because they have a more realistic opinion of what success it.

The Obama haters are just heavily partisan, with little substantive arguments as to why he's failed.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Sure. Let's go with that.

Most Americans disagree with you, because they have a more realistic opinion of what success it.

Source?

http://www.pewresearch.org/data-trend/political-attitudes/presidential-approval/

Usually he has a higher approval than disapproval.

DatBoyHooD --- 9 years ago -

"I fully accept that my views on many issues are not compatible with the power structure and the nominating base of the Democratic Party," Webb told reporters at the National Press Club in Washington. The current Democratic hierarchy, he said, "is not comfortable with many of the policies laid forth, and frankly I am not that comfortable with many of theirs."

Guess he threw a temper tantrum as well

On another note he may run 3rd party .. Take 1-2% of those Clinton voters may have an impact

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Usually he has a higher approval than disapproval.

"Usually", huh?

He's rarely above 50%

Last time he averaged about 50% in all polls was April of 2013.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Ok, I'll concede that I overstated that.

Now, back to the original point. Why do you think he's failed?

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

I would also like to point out his lowest approvals are still quite high compared to other presidents in late term. (Bush was 19% for example)

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

LOL............ "But Bush!!!"

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

LOL............ "But Bush!!!"?

Yes, worst mistake in history of presidents.

Now, back on track. Why do you think Obama has failed? Or are you just going to avoid specifics?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Why do you think Obama has failed?

Obamacare is a disaster.
Foreign policy is a disaster.
Economic policy is a disaster.

Eventually. He'll go down in history as one of the worst presidents. Jimmy Carter is smiling.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Those are just broad opinions. The economy is far from a disaster lol, you're delusional

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

ACA is a train wreck.
Withdrew prematurely from Iraq, ISIS stepped in.
Stimulus package failed.
Financial reform didn't reform anything.
Immigration reform is a failure.
Oversaw largest increase in national debt.
Fast & Furious.
Races are more divided than ever.
Blew Arab Spring by sitting on the sidelines in Egypt and Iran.
More Americans on government dole than ever.
Dismissed Russian resurgence as geopolitical force.
Guantanamo is still open.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

The economy is far from a disaster lol, you're delusional

Labor participation rate at the lowest in 38 years.

46mil Americans on food stamps.

Sounds like an awesome economy.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

ACA is a train wreck.

No it isn't. Alot of folks benefit tremendously from it. Texas OTOH still has the most uninsureds in the coutnry thanks to the idiots in Austin who turned down medicaid expansion which we pay for with our federal tax dollars. Idiocy at its finest.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Like I said. The Obama whiners are delusional.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

The apologists arrive...... en masse.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

How would you define success? Perfection is impossible, and is the enemy of good.

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

OK then, what would you describe specifically are his successes? I listed his failures as I see them.

As far as the ACA goes, it has been detrimental to more people than it has benefited. The numbers don't lie.

DatBoyHooD --- 9 years ago -

Joe didn't we already destroy the Medicaid expansion atkeast twice with the cost vs the insignificant drop in the uninsured

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Insignificant? Many millions of people isn't insignificant.

Have you accounted for those who were insured, but would have been denied with "pre existing conditions" had something happened?

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

OK then, what would you describe specifically are his successes? I listed his failures as I see them.

Economy and unemployment. The numbers don't lie.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

http://www.npr.org/2016/01/11/462676307/state-of-the-obama-economy-far-better-but-still-with-many-troubles

How is that a "failure"? Keeping in mind that perfection is nothing more than an unrealistic pipe dream. You can't honestly say Romney would have done better lol

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

The economy is far from a disaster lol,

Labor participation rate the lowest its been since 1977

The 5 year GDP growth trend an anemic 1%

Negative growth in consumer spending since 2008

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

The 5 year GDP growth trend an anemic 1%

More misinformation propagation from the infamous tea bagger EoK. Stop lying to people to push your crazy brand of politics.

It's 2.4%, higher than the last 4 5 year period preceding it

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

More lies from EoK. Consumer spending is way up.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

I guess you don't understand the difference between annual growth and growth trend rate.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Lol. Keep talking Emp. The numbers don't lie.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

So prolix, I've demonstrated successful economic and job growth. So can we agree Obama has been a success in those areas?

DatBoyHooD --- 9 years ago -

You're still pushing unemployment as a success when you don't understand how the unemployment metric is calculated

Yes fuzz spending billions to lower the uninsured in our state by 5% is not worth the money and makes those 5% insignificant

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

You're still pushing unemployment as a success when you don't understand how the unemployment metric is calculated

LOL............ I know, and he's trying to give Bob a hard time.
