Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

The poster not the organ.

We would be interested in hearing why you hate him so much. It doesn't seem like a real political thing to me though. I think it's personal.

The teabaggers have a grudge against Huberty.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is that what it is? No wonder they are using the tactics that they are, posting vile stuff here over and over again. Typical MO. Fear mongering and the like.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

That "drunk video" of Huberty was taken by a teabagger activist/extremist

wayward1 --- 9 years ago -

What the heck did this guy ever do to the Tea Party?
Hasn't he voted correctly by their standards?

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Despite a rocky start ? and multiple efforts by Tea Party-backed lawmakers to derail it ? key early education legislation endorsed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott overwhelmingly passed the Texas House Wednesday.

An almost five-hour debate ended with a fierce denunciation of conservative interest groups? influence on policymaking from the bill?s author, state Rep. Dan Huberty, R-Houston.

?We should not to be beholden to a conservative group?or any outside interest group,? he said, shortly before the chamber approved House Bill 4 on a vote of 129 to 18. ?We are the House of Representatives, we should make these decisions.?

The legislation would give about $130 million in additional funding to school districts that adopt certain curriculum and teacher quality standards in their pre-kindergarten programs, as well as a "parent engagement plan."

I don't hate him, Joe. I'm sure he's a dandy person to sit down and have a beer with. Oh, did I say that?? LOL!

I just think I have higher standards for politicians than some of you.

Sure, nobody's perfect. But not everyone is an elected politician either.

Cursing and lying is bad enough from our elected officials. I kinda draw the line at being drunk on the job.

Crickets from KU's resident teabagger(s)
Probably all one person.

Karras --- 9 years ago -

Too bad DHL's only reason to not re-elect Huberty is because of his actions on a video. Big deal, so he had a couple of drinks and lit into a video "journalist".

DHL should discuss how Huberty is a moderate Republican and doesn't represent the values of a very Conservative district 127.

Huberty has been known to side with democrat turned republican Joe Strauss on a number of issues, Huberty also tables conservative legislation. Huberty also takes donations from Homebuilder Perry and Charles Butt (both known for their love of sanctuary cities), but most noticeably he voted against Gov. Abbot's ethics bill and voted in favor of banning the media from videotaping Texas legislature on city grounds.

Even with his short comings, and not being as I conservative as I would like, I'm still voting for the man.
