ABC news

Joe Blow --- 8 years ago -

"calling on Congress to fix the law to address rising costs and market stability."

Exactly what the dems have been saying all along. Get it in place, see how it works and then tweek it as necessary. I'm sure we all agree that it needs tweeking. Too bad the pubies refuse to compromise on anything. #Losing

LMFAO

SoupIsGoodFood --- 8 years ago -

LOL

That's some serious spin.

That's not at all what the dems have been saying.

Or did they "evolve"?

DatBoyHooD --- 8 years ago -

Left is very quite, according to them the aca is great...

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

I'm sure we all agree that it needs tweeking.

It needs to be discarded.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

ACA is a great first step. Yes, it needs adjustments.

I'm pushing for single payer healthcare for ALL citizens. Expand Medicare to cover ALL citizens.

I'm pushing for single payer healthcare for ALL citizens.

Yes, you are the single person responsible for paying your bills. Stop trying to get others to pay your bills.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

Stop trying to get others to pay your bills.

I use Medicare. Do you pay my bills?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

Do you pay my bills?

Yes I do. Where do you think medicare money comes from? The tooth fairy?

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

The tooth fairy?

Well....yes:

Who pays for Medicare?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

United States Medicare is funded by a Payroll Tax, premiums and surtaxes from beneficiaries, and general revenue.

Me and many like me pay that tax that funds Medicare. So yes, its me paying your bills.

them --- 8 years ago -

Obamacare is an epic disaster.

Maybe if Nancy Pelosi had actually read the bill it would have been worthwhile?

ACA is a great first step. Yes, it needs adjustments

How can adjustments be made if anyone that identifies an Obamacare flaw is labeled a racist?

I'm pushing for single payer healthcare for ALL citizens. Expand Medicare to cover ALL citizens.

That is so cute.

Honey, you don't know your candidate very well.

It is exactly what has been said over and over!

My 50 years in the workplace doesn't count?

In that case, I wish you a long and taxing life - even when you retire in Mexico.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

Me and many like me pay that tax that funds Medicare.

And you, of course, not wanting to have others paying your bills, will not apply for or receive Medicare or Social Security when you become eligible?

a2645039uu --- 8 years ago -

Lets try this. Let's have one single source for automobiles in the US. And let's make the government pay for all of them and provide them to citizens. How do you think that will work out for you?

Prolix Raconteur --- 8 years ago -

LOL...I'm torn between the gold Corvette plan and the bronze Kia plan.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

Lets try this. Let's have one single source for automobiles in the US.

Let's try this: Have a single entity deciding appropriate charges for appropriate healthcare (current Medicare).

You can change jobs, become jobless, retire, or move anywhere in the country and still have adequate healthcare.

Yes, it's Wiki, and it is a good overview:

How Medicae works

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

You can change jobs, become jobless, retire, or move anywhere in the country and still have adequate healthcare.

I can do that now and so can lots of other people.

Butterbean --- 8 years ago -

I can do that now and so can lots of other people.

If you have a child with a serious, chronic disease, that is not the case. If you or your spouse have a serious, chronic, disease that is not so.

If you are a self employed skilled craftsman, and incur a serious chronic illness, that is not so.

If you are divorced and your ex spouse decides to not provide insurance, although he/she has for the last 20 years, that is not so.

And a lot of other "that is not sos".

Edited to add: I hope you remain taxable for many more years.
