Does anyone have latest info on what's making kids so sick there?

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Probably ecoli in their school lunches. Or some virus brought into the school from some illegal.

JuanSequin --- 8 years ago -

At this point it's most likely norovirus. CDC is engaged.

vernsgirl --- 8 years ago -

Did you just say from some illegal?

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Norovirus "The virus is transmitted by fecally contaminated food or water, by person-to-person contact, and via aerosolization of vomited virus and subsequent contamination of surfaces."

Gross. Wash your hands, put toilet paper in the toilet.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Did you just say from some illegal?

Yep. I sure did.

JuanSequin --- 8 years ago -

Noro is highly contagious. I've heard over 100 kids were sent home. Classes are half full and at least 8 teachers are sick as well.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

"dengue hemorrhagic fever had joined Chagas disease, Enterovirus D-68 and Chikungunya ? as well as drug-resistant tuberculosis , malaria and Zika ? on the list of diseases brought to the United States by illegal aliens"

trailwoodmom --- 8 years ago -

Karras is right on this one. This is one reason my pediatrician pushed for my kids to get the Hepatitis A-vaccine long before it was recommended/required by state and national health organizations. I remember saying, isn't that the vaccination you're supposed to get before you travel to a third-world country?"

^^^ please quit feeding the pigeons. They never go away

Chris H --- 8 years ago -

Good grief, Karras. I'm pretty sure that blaming illegals is your top-shelf response when weighing in on most issues.

TinktheSprite --- 8 years ago -

Little kids are a cesspool of virus and disease! Wash your hands!
