What you need is a good man at home. lol

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

They cost too much.. lol

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

A good man gives, not takes.

andreweggplant --- 8 years ago -

I have used him... not sure what he does anymore. He replaced some cabinets that have pulled away from the wall for me. Didn't charge very much...

Still needing reviews.

Is he not from the other site? Perhaps more there have used him, may ask there also.

Saveena --- 8 years ago -

What is the "other site"?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

This guy Dan "the handyman" is Not Legit. Wouldn't text me a picture of his ID or info bc "the camera lens is too strong " On his camera. LOL. and, the address he gave me was not his.

I would not hire anyone off this site. This it twice now that they refused to identify themselves before a visit to a potential customer. Not legitimate business practices. In fact, it's downright sketchy.

sdanielmcev --- 8 years ago -

No. I wrote that it was too scratched to take pictures. And, since as I also wrote that I rent, it will not come up on your search. Of course if you had called my reference you would know that I am a very good Handyman. Businessman, meh.
As to me sending my personal information to a complete stranger, kinda off there. Not that I have anything to hide

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Sending your ID to a potential customer (since you do advertise as a HANDYMAN and im looking for one, lol) is basic business procedure. You cant HIDE from people as you are trying to do and actually expect people to have you come to their home without ID???

And the person you say owns the home on Dogwood that you supposedly rent is NOT listed as the owner according to the HCAD records. So, nothing checks out. You wont send me a pic of your DL, you dont live where you say you live.

Not if you want access to their house.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

ya, can you imagine a legitimate person who needs to be IN your home not wanting to give you basic ID???

Its FAKE

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Ok, I will do the work, but I work naked.

I guess I won't be working for you, then. But, to insinuate that I am lying because you didn't do any real research, well that's just stupid. And, in 36 years of this business, you are the first to ask before you meet me to send personal information over the internet. I understand your skittishness, and you have my sympathy.
You want references, I have plenty. You want to disparage me because of your fears? Ain't gonna happen.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Yeah you WONT. I don't have contractors or handymen come to my home without proper verification of ID with picture and address. Your phone lens is scratched?? How's about you borrow a friends phone for 10 seconds and text it that way?? To a perspective client, that's too much trouble?? Lol. You need to take some business classes if you expect people to give YOU their ID but you don't think they should have yours.

I know there's a real handyman that goes by Dan Stanton but you aren't him. No authentic business person acts this way.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Hey, I offered to do the work.

Gigix4 --- 8 years ago -

Wait ... What? So which is it? I am so confused. (face palm)

Certainly not Dan the Handyman. Truth be told I did work for them, but haven't for

a couple of years now."

Call Aspaughs and see if they can recommend someone legit. That would be a good way to go about it. Also, QueenofClean on here had a good handyman she used, she may be able to give you a recommendation.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Thank you!!

Gigix4 --- 8 years ago -

Call Aspaughs

Good idea Dorothy. I've also gone to Lowe's contractors desk and ask for references. Lowe's usually does a background check on their contractors.
