Looks like a world leader in solar technology is emerging:

China energy

I guess it's very easy to do when the gov't is footing the bill.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 177 days ago -

Wait? So global warming is good now?

JustWatching --- 177 days ago -

Oh no...don't confuse the left. LOL

SoupIsGoodFood --- 177 days ago -

They're already confused enough.

I guess it's very easy to do when the gov't is footing the bill.

That's the point.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 176 days ago -

What do you think their return on that govt investment will be?

On another note: Remember when the Chinese govt spent close to $50billion dollars on the 2008 Olympics?

Butterbean --- 176 days ago -

Yup. All those high tech-future tech products being developed and provided by China.

JustWatching --- 176 days ago -

Once again....who cares?

Butterbean --- 175 days ago -

Yup. India and Pakistan, Uzbekistan, All the Middle East solar projects being planned and executed by Chinese technicians and manufacturing processes and capacities.

That's a sizable market.

Nothing is stopping our companies from doing business overseas except the trade deals that favor everyone else but us.

Butterbean --- 175 days ago -

Imagine an oil pipeline/transfer system from western China to an Indian Ocean port through Pakistan, bypassing the Malacca Straits.

Imagine China exporting electricity generated by solar fields west of the Gobi desert.

Imagine Chinese technicians flowing to Europe and central Asia along highways and rail.

JustWatching --- 175 days ago -

I'll bet the Chinese negotiated much more favorable terms in their trade deals then we did. Everyone should take notice of what a good trade deal looks like. bb thanks for making my point.

Butterbean --- 175 days ago -

You don't have a point.

JustWatching --- 175 days ago -

Nothing is stopping our companies from doing business overseas except the trade deals that favor everyone else but us.

That's my point but since it doesn't agree with what you think then, according to you, it doesn't matter. Standard SOP for the liberals.

Hey, last week China had the world's largest Dog Meat festival. We better start ours so we aren't left behind.
