Been battling allergies for the past week. I don't have sinus issues at all. The worst symptom is that it affects my eyes. Everything is blurry no matter what I use from Zatador antihistamines drops to Refresh moisture relief drops. I also take Flaxseed oil daily. take Claratin and Zyrtec only if I have to as this further dries out my system. I am certain there is a lot of crap in the air! Got any good hints or home remedies for Allergy Eyes?? My eye Dr. office is closed. (Family Vision, town Center/Dr. Anderson)

I have a summer cold and my eyes won't stop running. I am SOL-severely allergic to mold. Eyes been burning and running for days.

Gonna be a lot of that running around.

Yes, eyes are a mess....too much stuff in our air right now.

I've found that I must take two Zyrtec or Claratin for either to be fully effective. I just buy Dollar Store or Walmart generics.

Have you tried Wal-Act from Walgreen's? It's the same formula as the old Actifed. The antihistamine in it (Triprolidine) is quite potent. It's behind the pharmacist counter because of the pseudoephedrine in it.

The old prescription antihistamine Atarax is potent as well.

Both can really make you drowsy at first though!

Been waking up with gooey eyes for about a month

Omg, I'm not alone. My eyes have been killing me for four days. Today I just had to sit with my eyes closed they were bothering me so bad. I was really wondering if I need to see an optometrist.

Allergy eye drops work for me with all the symptoms described above. I do daily nasal washes as per doctor's advice and they really help me! Throw in some antihistamine, decongestant and I'm functional. My allergist and internist both told me the allergens have been worse since we haven't experienced any substantial cold weather these past few years. It's just the weather cycle we're in right now. This will change eventually as does everything in life.

Its been 9+ days with this crap. It's moving into my chest. Dang it. Allergy reports say everything's in the air.

It has been a terrible several months for us for allergy..sinus, runny nose, cough, with the mold issues ugh! We normally take zyrtec in may and June and are fine. Not the s year. Even our cat has issues itching and scratching with fur coming out..thought she needed as flea bath said no fleas..allergy.. Only treatment for her was cortisone shot

I felt better after the rain washed things down. I am tempted to stay indoors and enjoy this bit of allergy respit.

It's also ragweed season! That, plus mold spores are driving my eyes nuts- generic zyrtec helps with the tickling and sneezing, but I haven't found anything that helps my eyes-

Zatador eye drop antihistamines ($15) or Walgreen's equivalent ($11). CVS brand is weaker strength. I swear by it!! Use it before exposure. Recommended to me by both my eye doctor and my PCP.

Oh. Also Refresh Eye Lubricating gel. As well as other brands. And there is a night time Vaseline based moisturizing ointment that helps a LOT!

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 5 years ago -

I'll try all of them!

Let's see (or not in most mornings)... gooy eyes, sinus drainage, itchy but no many other things. Yep very severe. So far, Allegro is helping.
