Scammed this one a while back off the other local chat board. They turned out awesome! Great for any weather.

Pork Carnitas

Ingredients
4lb Pork Butt (shoulder) Trim any large chunks of fat, cut shoulder into large chunks (like 4 or 5 inches square)
2 Cups Orange Juice
2 Limes Squeezed
1 Beer (I use Lonestar) I drink half and poor the other half in.
2TS Minced Garlic
1 Large Onion Halved
1TS ChiliPowder
1TS Garlic Powder
1TS Onion Powder
1/2TS Cumin

Instructions
Mix all dry spices together and coat meat, reserve any left over spices to dump in mixture after adding the liquid. Sear meat for a minute or two in a bit of olive oil in large cast Iron Dutch Oven. Remove from heat and add all other ingredients to pot. Place in oven at 300 for about 5-6 hours (until meat is literally falling apart).
Shred the meat out on to a baking sheet and add some of the drippings from the pot. Broil until it gets the little crispy bits (doesn't take long, don't burn it).
I like mine served on corn tortillas with fresh onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime, but they are good no matter how you decide to taco them up.

Trying to kickstart a message board that you aided in killing in the first place never works. Probably if you backed off those you considered to be trolls would do better. Traffic was higher here when people weren't punished by a lunch room monitor. It seems obvious to me.

...and here you are, complaining again!! LOL! (you wouldn't be an ALT for someone in the ice box, would you??)

Prolix, if you use one of the new pressure cookers, it cooks in about an hour!

Grew up on Chili Mac. Mac N Cheese. And Ramen before it was popular. Mom would buy Ramen 2 for a penny. Yeah, it was cheap back then, too!

TinktheSprite --- 13 days ago -

Taco Soup
2 lbs ground beef or chicken, cooked with onions (Or eliminate for vegetarian version).
2 Cans diced Tomatoes
2 Cans Chopped Green Chiles
2 Cans Whole Corn
2 Cans Ranch Beans
1 Cans Pinto Beans w/ jalapenos, optional
1Pkg (Dry) Ranch Dressing mix
1 Pkg (Dry) Mild Taco mix

Mix all together. Do NOT drain the canned goods. Simmer. Serve over Fritos topped with grated cheese.
(This is a great one to have on hand in your pantry for a quick meal.)
