Why can't we spend money on guard Dogs as a security measures to prevent guns from entering our schools? Guard dogs can smell gunpowder on clothes and people before they even get inside the school. They can also intimidate aggressive students without the problem escalating. Dogs not guns- that's my platform.
I can see having trained dogs gates that have to be passed to enter the school. Like the ones that have metal detectors. If you don't have weapons or haven't been making your own ammo, there would be no reason to feel intimidated. A trained dog sitting there, minding his own business, should not be scary. The possibility of being shot at school, now that is something to be concerned about.
