Two guys on WLH and Kingwood Dr....going up to cars asking for money. Not sure what their "charity" is. Don't they need a permit for that?

one had on an orange safety vest and while waiting for cars stood there smoking a cigarette, the other had a plastic container and a piece of paper in his hand. Just wondering if anyone else saw them or saw what they were soliciting for. 

yeah, Ive seen them. look like the same ones that hang out around LHPway and 1960. If no one gave them anything they might go away. I dont like solicitations so I just ignore them. I also dont care what their "cause" is. 

When Fireman do their "fill the boot" it's for Muscular Dystrophy,and I believe it's in the spring. 

Some Jesus thing but if you google the address on the card they sometimes hand out -it's an empty lot in Dallas- so - no surprise- it's a scam 

Regular folks with nothing more than a safety vest and a bucket can stand in Kingwood's most dangerous intersection asking for donations to what is undoubtedly a scam. Why isn't this illegal? 

I don't give to those guys, any of them. Window stays rolled up and I just stare straight ahead. lol 

Just give them money. You can afford it. 

there was a segment on them, a couple of days ago- they're getting very aggressive on the west side of town, and finding out personal things about the families of residents- subdivisions have been sending out warnings to the property owners- don't give them anything! 

I give them a handful of pesos and pfennigs. 

I saw one of the HPD bicycle officers talking to them one morning last week. When I came back through a couple of minutes later they were gone. I guess they decided to come back and try again today. 

It's a church-y group. I gave the change out of my ash tray and was given a slip of paper with the church on it. Now I just wave it whenever I see one of these guys. I don't know if they are the same church from the Med Center, but it works here!
