My apartment was broken into and in the process of the police catching the felon my dog was kicked and ran out into the rain. PLEASE IF YOU SEE MY DOG, CONTACT ME ASAP!

He is a male 3 year old, Yorkie (yorkshire terrier), Tan and Silver Coat, with a BLUE COLLAR. Goes by the names of BAXTER (on his name tag) or MAX.

PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE!

Thank you very much in advance! He is very important to me!

HI all. Ive been here since hurricane IKE and would appreciate your kindness with my daughter. If you saw the situation at town center tonight my daughters yorkie got out when her apartment was invade by a felon and the Police who were giving chase.

This is not a joke and its not a time for unkindness. the kids are very freaked out and i am willing to pay $100 for anyone who can help me find our little baxter. He is a member of our family and he means alot to us.

Any help and consideration would be appreciated.

Leila --- 11 years ago -

So sorry. I really hope you find him. Please update us and let us know. I also hope you are alright. Were you robbed? What a frightening thing to be dealing with and just compounded with losing your beloved Baxter.

AngieKaye --- 11 years ago -

I am so sorry Gen... truly we are. Praying for the safe return and your daughters peace at dealing with her frightening day

genxer --- 11 years ago -

We haven't found him yet, but we aren't giving up hope. We were not robbed, he was just running from the cops and happened to choose my apartment to take cover. Thank you.

AngieKaye --- 11 years ago -

I am so glad he was ccaught though. Surly with this rain he ran into someones apartment or check under all the cars.. I know my dog hates to get wet in the rain. Check behind the dumpsters too.

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

I saw a police car followed by a tow truck with the BMW hooked up. I'm so glad they caught this POS!

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

Gen, do you have people out looking right now?

genxer --- 11 years ago -

I am too, thank God for keeping us safe. Everyone is still looking, we have checked under cars and every area around us.

genxer --- 11 years ago -

Gen, do you have people out looking right now?

Yes, all around Town Center and the Apartments... Praying

JenJen --- 11 years ago -

I did not see him anywhere outside of the gates of the complex. Make sure to leave some of the kids clothing outside the door. It will help him find his way home

Poor pup now in the cold rain. I hope the little guy found somewhere safe and warm for the night and comes back home in the morning.

freebyrdll --- 11 years ago -

Praying for his safe return..... I'll be watching on my way in this AM. We will also put the word out at the shop.

PS... this thread is a perfect example of some humans that need to be E&D'd.....

genxer --- 11 years ago -

The kids have incredible neighbors. I can't thank each of you enough for coming to try to help us last night.

As the kids who are 20, sat down to think on this all last night, I think we all realized how incredibly blessed we are. The cops came though the door, guns drawn and because of one of their friends who had a presence of mind to unlock the door so the cops could come in, we all walked away incredible lucky no none was shot or taken hostage, amoung all the other crimes that could have been committed here.

We haven't found Baxter yet although many kind strangers came to help us and hopefully with this many eyes, someone will spot him and bring him home safely.

I"m heading out here shortly but say what you will about kingwood, but this is why its the best place to live in this very crazy world. Hard cold rain and strangers were on their bikes walking the complex and doing all they can to help.

Hoping for a happy outcome here...

That is a true community. I love kingwood.

PS... this thread is a perfect example of some humans that need to be E&D'd.....

I see this thread as a perfect example of what's wrong with a different group of people than the ones you notice. The love of animals as personal property is so out of control it's downright creepy. My parents had a dog they adored, but I never understood it.

I will never understand how people can have such a strong attachment to an animal. If someone who might have been a rapist broke into my apartment but was caught and my only loss was an animal that chose to leave me and be free, I would not be posting on Kingwoodunderground to beg for the help of others to bring that dog back into my captivity. I would be counting my blessings. Maybe I would be hurt that the dog was not as attached to me as I thought it was.

I'll stick to human relationships.

If these animals are so helpless that they need humans to care for them, why do we keep breeding them and selling them as property? Is that really in their best interest? Are we really that hungry for attention that we'll try to get it from an animal?

Retired drama teacher --- 11 years ago -

My yorkie loves to hide in bushy areas and get caught by thorny bushes (if they have a long coat).

Leila --- 11 years ago -

Zenfidel, I am sorry you have never known the comfort and companionship of a animal that you hold dear.

It has nothing to do with trying to get the attention of an animal or being needy. It is about relationships in their most basic form. At least, it is for me. A child could wander off and get lost too, does that lessen its attachment to his or her family? When a pet is lost it hasn't rejected it owners. There are stories of pets that wandered across the country to find their families that their were separated from.

I don't think the heartbreak over losing a beloved pet in any way diminishes the shock for this person as they reflect on the potential danger they were in. I also don't think asking their friends and neighbors to be on the lookout for their dog is hard to understand at all.

I hope one day a pet does find its way into your heart just so you can experience what you obviously have been missing, but if that is not to be, I hope you will at least try to be more understanding of those that have this special bond.

calliecat --- 11 years ago -

I cannot believe how cold hearted some people can be! I hope you find your Yorkie! I have a toy poodle and I would be devastated if my dog got lost! A dog will love you unconditionally. I pray you will find your dog.

Mayberry --- 11 years ago -

See, even a "cat person" (calliecat) can appreciate the love of a pup! :-) I will be keeping my eyes open for Baxter... Prayers that you find him soon!

Its Mygirl01 --- 11 years ago -

I hope you find him soon! Call all the local vets and let them know also. Is he microchipped??

ladybeachbum --- 11 years ago -

The poor dog is scared because someone that was in his house kicked him. Given a certain spot, it could be hurt. I hope you find him and he is safe.
Please excuse the people that really have no heart for pets.

Fraz --- 11 years ago -

Is this a short haired dog small yellowish light brown in color I saw a dog in the emeritus parking lot on Kingwood Place Dr I tried to get the dog but he would not come to me he ran to the ditch I do not know where your apts are or if this is close anyway that was yesterday about 5 pm

magicmom --- 11 years ago -

I would get some signs up. Someone has probably taken him in and will be looking for signs. Also you should post on KYS. Home you find him soon. Most of us are pet lovers in Kingwood. :)
