Identity Crisis --- 11 years ago -

I want to try one to get rid of extra water in my body. I am swollen up like a sausage.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

It's temporary. As soon as you drink water, it comes right back on. As silly as it sounds, you can wrap yourself in Saran Wrap and do some exercise and you'll sweat like a pig. Lol

An OTC diuretic will work too as well as just cutting down on your salt I take and exercising. Maybe you are just eating too much salt?

FireWife --- 11 years ago -

Just go running right now in this heat :)

Identity Crisis --- 11 years ago -

Thanks, Both of y'all ! I bet I am eating too much salt. I just need to get out there and sweat.

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

I just finished vacuuming out and wiping down the inside of my vehicle real good. I did a lot of sweating - not a dry spot left on me!

I can get out and mow, edge and blow the yard and sweat a lot. Good exercise.

Drinking water is essential but try adding squeezed lemon juice to it - a natural diuretic.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

If you do that and just increase your fresh fruits and veggies and decrease the salt, you'll see a difference.

Gigix4 --- 11 years ago -

decrease the salt

It takes a little while to get used to decreasing your salt intake, but eventually you will and find it's just fine.

Identity Crisis --- 11 years ago -

That sounds like a good plan. My car needs cleaning too. I have some watermelon, and I can buy some veggies for dinner. I just hate feeling like a stuffed sausage in my clothes. Even my feet are puffy.

TinktheSprite --- 11 years ago -

Vit B6 is a diuretic

luv2massage --- 11 years ago -

Lymphatic massage can help move the water trapped in your lymphatic system if the other suggestions don't work. Please find a qualified therapist if you decide to try it.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

if this is unusual for you, you might want to have some blood work done, before you try diuretics or wrapping-

Identity Crisis --- 11 years ago -

Thank you.. This is unusual for me. I have never been so puffy before. I'm not pregnant so it can't be that. Maybe I should go to the doctor.

Kayry --- 11 years ago -

Drink a ton of water w lemon wedges in it daily and you won't be so puffy and swollen...it works for me! Also like the others said, sweat and sweat a lot!

Winelady --- 11 years ago -

I do them at least once a week and have great results. I tried them about a year ago and was so impressed I became a distributor. If you have stomach bloat it could be toxins and water retention. I agree with all above, if it is something new..see a doctor, if it has been slowly creeping on, I can hook you up with a body wrap to try.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

definitely, if this isn't the norm- go to the doc! it could be kidney or heart related- or other problems-

Yes.

Wrapped myself in a sheet for toga night long years ago. Don't think that counts.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

nah- plus it probably wasn't on long!

Dorothy Parker --- 11 years ago -

I don't understand the wrap thing. Seems like a waste of time and money.

TinktheSprite --- 11 years ago -

A body wrap works like a sauna suit to rid the body of moisture in the areas you want. The effects will last for about 5-7 hours. So if you have that slinky dress that you want to wear and look great in, this would work for that special night. But I wouldn't use a wrap for health concerns. And their claims to remove toxins? Bah!

Seems like a waste of time and money.

It is!
