What shall it be?

Honda CR-V

Chrysler 300

Volvo X70

Other?

Butterbean --- 10 years ago -

Anything Toyota builds.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

That- or maybe Lexus- even the pre-owned keep their value and are great cars-

Eclipse --- 10 years ago -

I just bought a new 2015 Honda Accord EX-L with all the bells and buzzers and you can't go wrong with a Honda.

I was on the fence with the CR-V, but chose the Accord instead.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

American made.

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

you can't go wrong with a Honda.

I don't need to tell you that any more! LOL

them --- 10 years ago -

Honda. And it's the most American car on the list.

GREEBO --- 10 years ago -

Before you jump in go over and look at the KIA you may be surprised

Over the years, I've owned about 5 Accords and have loved every one of them. Also owned a couple of Civics - also a good reliable car.

ATXmom --- 10 years ago -

What GREEBO said except about Hyundai.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

I saw a Huyundai Gensis on the road and got some goosies, like JLo says.lol

This is my first Honda and I'm very, very happy with it.

idontplaynice --- 10 years ago -

Considering Redmulch's personality, I would recommend:

Chevrolet SS

410 HP, 6.2L V8 in a 4-door sleeper sedan body

0

QueenMargaret --- 10 years ago -

Not a Volvo......had one and nothing but trouble; same comments from other Volvo owners

SleightOfHand --- 10 years ago -

Hyundai and Kia are the same company.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Looks nice Idont

Ellen Ripley --- 10 years ago -

From the three you listed- Honda CRV.

Can't go wrong with Toyota. I have no experince with Honda but I've always heard they are equivalent to toyota.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Mercedes-Benz

them --- 10 years ago -

Mercedes-Benz

Is your brother-in-law Ron White?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

No, but who is Ron White?

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Honda. And it's the most American car on the list.

Just because a car is assembled in America does not make it "American Made" When I say American made. I am referring to Ford, GM. Honda is a Japanese Co.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

As much as am spending, want reliable...no matter who.

Spunkin --- 10 years ago -

I own a Volvo and had zero troubles for five years. I did have trouble this year but considering I had nothing wrong for several years it evens out.
I drove a Volvo S60 T5 while they worked on it and I loved it.
Consumer reports just named Toyota Highlander as Mid size SUV of the year. Toyota's have very good resale values and reliability.

Not KU --- 10 years ago -

Volvo and had zero troubles for five years.

They typically have the best safety rating over everyone. Not all that attractive. But the safest.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

Audi- very safe in an accident-

Wicked --- 10 years ago -

We own two Prius, one and 05 and the other a 13. The 05 is a much better quality car. The 13 is a tin box. So, next year we will buy a Suburu outback. We rented one on a recent trip and I'm sold. Someone told me there are more metal parts on a Suburu. Not sure if that is true but they sure feel heavier.

Butterbean --- 10 years ago -

Audi- very safe in an accident-

Also excellent ratings from 50 Shades.

them --- 10 years ago -

The following article has death rates by vehicle. The Honda Civic has one of the highest death rates.

IIHS death rates by vehicle

Spunkin --- 10 years ago -

Subaru also did well in consumer report ratings.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

had subaru years ago, was great and very reliable.

Gigix4 --- 10 years ago -

The Honda Civic has one of the highest death rates.

"Driver deaths per million registered vehicle years, 2005-08 models during calendar years 2006-09"

Kinda' old report ...

ladybeachbum --- 10 years ago -

I'm normally a GM buyer. I have a 2011 GMC truck that has had no problems but my car is now a Nissan Murano convertible and it, also, has had 0 problems in almost two years. However, I rented a Chevy Terrain for a month and now request it every time we need a rental for the office. It is just the right size and has all the safety alerts on it and gets up to 38 mpg on the hwy but 26 in town. That is really good milage for the size and comfort. I'm thinking of trading the truck in on one.

mutton --- 10 years ago -

Honda Civic is small. Do not most smaller vehicles have these death rates.

them --- 10 years ago -

I guess we know who drives or sells Civics...

them --- 10 years ago -

Fyi... For safety's sake... The report title is

DRIVER DEATH RATES BY VEHICLE STYLE AND SIZE
2011 and equivalent earlier models, 2009-12
